wow i never expected you do be doing work that's this graphic (not parental discretion kind of graphic, i mean the simple bold colors kind). i'm digging it.

i might be doing some sketches after work today-- if the weather stays this way it's looking like a sketch-at-the-beach kind of day.

javelinamx- did you get to see kids' reactions during development for your toy set? Imagine that would be very gratifying

saaboo - Yes, the day care testing was very gratifying, but very humbling at the same time. At first a lot of my ideas were not age appropriate for the kids, like having them turn a key to wind stuff up required too much motor skills, and sometimes instead of just turning the key, they would turn the whole vehicle. Taking the early prototype models to the day cares is really good, but at first your ego takes a hit because it's a real strong reality check. But you make changes (like making most of the activation features push down instead of turn), and it makes the product way better. It's a good thing, it's like the most honest critique you can have

    You're blowin my mind Ian!

whiteligergti- your extensive use of emoticons make that sketch. Such a nice, subtle touch (sarcasm). But seriously, cool "sketchie"

Saboo: This is sick Love the comic book style blending of the model, the rendered figure and the Bonneville background. That guy is in for a helluva ride~!

Your rendering style is very realistic, try using one lightsource to get dramatic shadows, maybe you could try different perspective views of the skull, keep 'em coming

Gotta keep the thread alive. Here are some quick sketches I did in the past week or so.

  19. 03-27-2007 04:22 PM #124
Ian- Sicked Wick duder! Composition rocks, soo much detail, cant keep my eyes off! Tractor beam ... pullin me in!
Ludovico- Dude, you rock. That pink caddie and the f1 need to be life sized! Neat stuff guys!

Been kinda sick lately, tryin to get rid of the modern day black plague known as "the mono". But i'm back on the sketch horse. Next project will be a baja racer. First concept sketch. Check it!

Or, in your case, maybe like an Apollo mission. You seem to have escaped the surly bonds of Alias quite effortlessly. One small sketch for a man...

That one is my favorite. Solid

Here's some more sketches from that project

I recognize this stuff. You did a presentation at CCS last semester. By far the best colaborative presentation I've seen there in my three years of attending so far. Your stuff was great, I love the sketches. Jason is a great speaker too. And that photo montage the girl did who I cant remember the name of. Yea, good stuff.

Since there are so many ID people in here....anyone have any contacts or know of any available internships? I've been sending stuff all over lately, so far no dice.

And to contribute to the thread:

Im a product guy, but heres a project Im currently in the midst of: Motor City Casino sponsored 'future retroism' IMAX tour bus. Equipped with stadium seating....and yea, the walls and ceiling are a wrap around screen.

    Snowboard binding:

    Lounge Chair project I did:
