Not one person has ever posted that it doesn't work. Improved throttle response.

Techtonics sells chips for Digifant. And I'd trust them first.

Where did you get the data to burn to the chip?

A local tuning shop. They had all the data. I just modified it a bit for my specific mods. Then they let me burn it.

Yeh but this is what a Digifast chip looks like.

Unless for some reason he changed the name or something. I think that dude is Black_Cabbie here on Vortex.

I'm sure they are too. Just don't want somebody to get something they didn;t expect.

I'm fairly certain that the digifast chip does not touch timing.

Mine does. Not sure about those ones people sell but mine advances up to 40*.

The chip works. The throttle response is probably the most notable change.

awesome chip i loved it when i had an 8v

  26. 02-28-2007 12:44 PM #26
huh....I always thought this chip was just a waste of money but i never did any research

  27. 02-28-2007 12:49 PM #27
i got one not too long ago for a customer car, and the throttle response is great, that alone was worth the purchase price to me. idle isn't jumpy anymore, etc.

anyone know how it would work in a 16v digi 2?

Will this chip work on an 8V with a mild P and P and a mild cam? Will it affect it in a bad way or will it just give me more gains?

i'm not sure but i would say yes. the chip eliminates the hesitation from a stop and does something w/ the fuel so when you take your foot off the gas it uses less fuel somehow ( if i read the instructions right. also like someone posted it readjusts the fuel curve and gives some extra horses.

i have one in mine....just does the same thing as everybody else states...throttle response..yadda yadda yadda.

  34. 04-11-2007 11:23 PM #34
Installed mine from VW_Pilot a few weeks ago. Like everyone says, it works perfect and dead simple to install.

Hesitation gone; much smoother acceleration (from this is feels faster), better throttle response; idle feels a bit better too.

    dang
    and it's like $40-50?

****, I might have to make this my first 'upgrade'

and it doesn't advance timing or make fuel maps so aggressive that you require high octane gas? one of the reasons I bought this car was so that I could go back to 'cheap gas'
