i had a great time this weekend...even as a non-vw owner. i was inspired, however, to sell my 3 for a vw. im currently looking around for a vr6 gti to turbocharge...

Heard about the S3 guy on another forum and did a little research and found out what he ended up getting charged with.

Negligent driving
DUI
DWI
Aggressive driving
Reckless driving
Attempting to elude
Attempting to elude marked police vehicle
Failure to stop after property damage

That's a total of at least 63 points on his license...it takes 8 to get a suspension.

According to the local newspaper we saw, the road construction work is scheduled to last until mid-December (weather permitting). Given that Ocean City is a seasonal, resort town, before and/or after the "season" is the only time road work can be done.

I don't think he will be able to get all of them stacked on top of each other. He will probably end up with reckless, DUI, and eluding the marked car + the associated fines and damages to the property owners.

Im going to go ahead and remember my 2nd H20i for the awesome time I had as opposed to what other may have done. Met some awesome people, saw some awesome cars, and generally felt good being just one VW maniac in the masses. Me and my dad go together as hes been into V-dubs for over 25 years and consequently so have since I can remember. We brought an 84 GTI ITB car and a 337 this year and the crowd is very diverse as we feel appropriate with both rides. We got new ideas for future projects, we were impressed with the quality of other peoples work, and just in general were impressed with how 99.99% of the weekend is all that h20i is advertised.....laid back volkwagen enjoyment. Kudos Jay and everyone in charge of organizing and working h20i, we'll see you next year

Exactly, he will prolly end up with 3-4 charges depending on how good his lawyer is. The points wont matter, he undoubtably will end up losing his liscense for a period of time, conditional possible but with the mess he created prolly not.

I don't care what happened. My father passed away last year at this time. You didn't here about me going nuts. It's no reason no matter what, To jeprodize the life others because you don't have the ability to control yourself. To be driniking all day and then allow at severeal different times, allow him to drive around the show area is unjust. I have no sorrow for him in his present situation that he has got himself in. I do feel sorrow for his family.

Grow up Im not sorry for his actions. Or his reasons why he could of potentionally ran over a child or a adult for that matter. You as his friends should of been there for him and took his keys away. To jump in the car and drift around a track intoxicated is not in anyway shape or from a way to handle a persons death nor is it a excuse. I can remember feeling extream sorrow when my father passed in front of my eyes. I sure didn't want to get in a car.

this was my first H20 as well and it was definitly the best of all the shows that i have been to. so mark the last weekend in september for me every year to be at this show!! great job jay and cory!!!
