Yeah I think I'm going to eventually go with the Nudies... seems like they have more selection of different fits too

they have the biggest diversity of fits in raw... but they also have a diversity in quality of denim, which will hinder the 'wear'. i bought the bootcut OLAs cuz i thought the cut was the best and i love the way they fit... but they are made from the cheaper denim (non-selvage) and after almost 8 months of almost everyday wear, ive got a nice wallet fade, holes in the back pockets, some crotch fades (i kid you not), but hardly any honeycomb action or any other signs of 8 months of wear. also, i dont tread lightly in these jeans. i wear them to my sculpture classes, my drawing classes, etching classes, etc.
any day im gonna order a pair of flathead f301s

non-selvage doesn't necessarily mean lower quality denim

well nudie has some quality denim... their regular ralphs (regular alf now i think?) has usually the highest quality cuz that is their 'trademark' cut so to speak. id say a comparable brand might be APC?! im no expert cuz ive only had nudies. nudies are kinda the cheap raw denim brand. you gotta pay to play for the good stuff

STF's are 501's, so they will fit like 501's.
they shrink a ****-ton, especially in the inseam. waist will stretch back out though.
i like the construction, but the denim is thin, and not very dark on the indigo STF's.

so if i normally get 34/32 in jeans i should buy 34/34s?

      i normally wear a 36/34.
      i bought both a 38/38, and a 36/34.
rinsed both at the same time, hung them dry
36/34 fit me perfectly. 38/38 didn't fit horribly, but were bigger.
the label says to size up because of the shrinking, but i really didn't have to, and my 36/34s have stretched out a lot.

i normally wear a 33x32 in jeans and my STF's are 34x32. fit me perfectly. they've gotten more comfortable as i wear them which is really only like twice a week.

H&M is probably outright cheapest, but worse quality than a pair of STFs.
If I was gonna buy a 100-200 dollar raw pair around now, It'd be a pair of crates.
check out the cuts on context, hamilton i think was my fave

I've been beating the **** out of my Levi's over the past couple of weeks. Can't wait to wash them. Problem is, I have a few more weeks of working with them on so I want to **** them up some more.

these are about the cheapest i've found. i got a pair of them, but they're the indigo colour, not black. they're pretty nice. i just starched them for the first time. i got them in june sometime, so i didn't get to wear them that much over the summer. i was living in north carolina and it was a bit warm and humid. also my job required me to be in board shorts. but these are some pics of the wear. i'll take some new ones tonight from after the first day after starching. the only thing i don't really like is the dc logo on the right butt pocket. but whatever, it's not that big of a deal

Those look nice... but a little too loose for what I want. I want as slim regular fit low rise, or a slim bootcut.

i would've, but wearing jeans when guiding kayak tours and surf lessons doesn't work out so well...and when i worked in the store i HAD to wear shorts, it was store policy..the suck
and those dc's aren't that loose. unless you're looking at pretty much skin tight
