cool, Mark... sounds like you got it handled.... FWIW, Z-products never answers or returns the multitude of phone messages... i should get off my lazy (read really busy) ass and go to their shop.

glad i could point you to some new parts....

I have wanted this since you first put it up for sale, but I decided right now it was a better idea to buy a house than another car. Some day I will have the funds to race a car like this.

I think this is a competitive platform in FP. We are putting together an FP A1 now and hope to be at the front again in 2009.

Mark - did you guys already have the bigger throttle body for the 1.8, or was that new for you this year as well?

    Chris,

You guys doing a 1.8, 1.6, or 1.5 for FP??? I think a 1.6 w/ the big valves @ 1750 lbs could be competitive in FP.

not according to the very fat rule book...1.8 w/ stock diameter valves is the law.

    Hey Mark,

As of 2008, the SCCA just moved the GP VWs up to FP, with both the 1.5 and 1.6 engines getting the big valve heads. The 1.5 has to weigh 1600 lbs and the 1.6 has to weigh 1750 lbs. 34mm chokes on the 1.6 engine w/ sidedrafts (that's what I run). I'm pretty sure that Chuck M. will stick with FI on his car.
