Thread: How to install rear mud flaps (splash guards) on Jetta MK4?

    1. 04-02-2007 12:46 PM #1
I received aftermarket mud flaps for my 1999 Jetta MK4, but of course no instructions were provided. The front flaps were self explanatory as you just needed to connect to the wheel well screws, but the rear ones do not allow you to connect to the rear wheel well. The flaps came with screws and some metal clamps, but don't make any sense. Can someone help or provide a copy of the instructions for the mud guards?

I BELIEVE you drill small holes and use the provided metal clips are sort of backing plates which you then use the provided screws to attach the flaps.

just kidding, you should be able to screw them into the wheel well plastic, or something close to where you need
