    So this is the car:

    Saw something:

    What the? BABY SPIDERS!!!!!!

I sprayed them dead, but still. I like spiders; they eat all of the bugs i don't want around. But this was ridiculous.

    i don't mind one or two..but that's just gross.

were they inside the rust bubbles? or in a hole created by the rust?

I wonder if they are attracted to the oxidation for some reason. I find that unreasonably random.

It's that rust hole true the fender ?
It looks like they're coming from the inside of the fender area.

Not only does your car look cool, it's also a rolling horror movie. Sweet.

Not sure... I have only had the car since December. They hatched when it got warm I guess... It is 70 something in Seattle today and yesterday.

    Hahah, I love this video

As the spiders in your car, methinks a larger spider laid an egg and they finally came out.

They would have got on well with the ant farm my daughter had encouraged in our second car. There was always an ant trail leading from the front to the back and if you left food on the seats you would come back and find it covered in ants.

  19. 04-06-2007 10:08 PM #19
Holy crap, yikes. I would have busted out the shop vac, I wouldn't want any dead spiders in my car.

  20. 04-06-2007 10:23 PM #20
You shoulda put em in a jar, thrown in ants, and just waited for someone to give you a hard day.

Trust me, 3 big spiders in my buddies sock literally made him **** himself, 100 small spiders in a sock? Game over, **** everywheeeere!

Aside from shooting some sticky white substance in his underwear on occasion, I doubt it.

I'd be showering, putting on long yellow dish washer gloves, a face mask and bought 15 different chemicals. Spiders scare the crap out of me

    Lmao.

I guess the question here that I haven't read an answer to yet is this... Did the spiders emerge from the paint? or was there a rust hole in your car, into which the mommy crawled, and laid eggs.?

I guess the answer is...I don't know. Haven't had the car long enough. The rust does not go all the way through. No other spiders have appeared.

I had the same exact issue, except with ants. I opened the hatch of my now sold New Beetle and Ants were everywhere. Then they started migrating to the AC vents. I had to use a lot of ant killer. They weeren't fully goone until the winter. I wonder if they will come back now that it is getting warmer. I feel bad for the next owner. Thankfully I traded the car in to a dealer who will probably send it to auction.

I would sell it. The only thing worse than this is a dent.

You need to torch that car and burn it to the ground.
