Real car or p-shop? Colors are wrong, and they obviously messed up with the bumpers. A for effort though.

      definitely not a p-shop...

But yes, they messed up on the colors. The panels don't match what they should be for a green base car. And of course the colors (pistachio and chagal) are nowhere near correct. But Uncalm is right, "A" for effort. The paint looks real good in person.

Overheard on 27 June 07, one lady to another when they saw my Harli in a parking lot at West Point, "maybe he found it on the clearance aisle at the Volkswagen dealer"

The MK5 Harlequin, if anyone was wondering, is apparently a fake. They are painting them themselves and adding the price onto the original price. I stopped and looked at one yesterday, and I'm quite angered by that.

A guy who wanted to by my Harli, and I wouldn't sell it, so he went to Maaco and told them to paint his cabby green, yellow, blue, and red. He brought it over to where I work to show me the day after he picked it up. First thing I told him was that he should have asked me for the color codes, and I would have given him a photo showing which panels get painted what color. (they could have just deleted the rear doors from the pattern)

Very stock, only changes are the Eurambers in the N/A bumper, fogs, Hella green tails, gls ceiling light, Orlandos with "Joker" center caps, and the Carlmod homelink.

I would have loved this thing if he had taken the time to do it right. Hell, even the photoshop of Chris' jazzbrio looks awesome compared to that. Take out the stupid diagonal line at the back, make the whole quarter panel Chagall Blue, give it a blue canvas roof, and it would pwn.

These have always been on my list of must own VWs..... Once I am done paying of the 337 next collectable was going to be a Rabbit GTi, but maybe thread like this make me think otherwise....
Since this is a Harlequin appreciation thread, to show my appreciation of such a unique model, If any of your lucky owners are intersted, I would love to stitch a harlequin style oem MK3 wheel for free, just send me you oem wheel back after you swap.... as an evening hobby I have been re-doing oem wheels in upgraded materials (race air leather, alcantara, etc...) I do a lot of wheel with colored stitching and think it would be really cool to try a multi colered.... The wheels not only look better, but since they are thicker and softer, they feel much better in the hand...
(search my recent topics for pics of recent wheels, or this therad for an MK3 wheel... http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3195352
I would prefer a nicely done car on the east coast so I can see the finshed product at one of the summer shows,,, IM me with info on your car or a therad with pics if you are interested.

I got my coils on today..... still need to fine tune the ride height though... (oh and excuse my dirty ass car )

But in the process of doin the install I found this...

So I'll wait till my 195/45s show up and get installed before I do too much more adjusting on them...
Oh... They are VMaxx Coilover... Front still has 60mm of threads left and the back has 80mm left. Can't tell you what they ride like yet due to the scary tire.
