DIY saves you alot.. I've got all the stuff here to do the paint myself in Dupont single stage and around $200 in it all. Now if only I had the skill.

Base, clear is the way to go. Single stage paint sucks. Hence why your tornado pink is pink...

Oh I absolutely agree with you. I bought the single stage paint for things like wheels, touch up, and little side projects. But I bought 2 quarts of each color because I got a deal on it with the paint supply.

In fact I just had my front bumper repainted at the end of summer/early fall and it is base clear now.

I'm letting the body shop do mine, i'd rather not get flamed for how ****ty it'd turn out. But my plan is in 5 years or so, I can repaint it on my own.

Supposed to be 77käfer, but there are no umlauts on an american keyboard

Overheard on 27 June 07, one lady to another when they saw my Harli in a parking lot at West Point, "maybe he found it on the clearance aisle at the Volkswagen dealer"

Damn, Fox might have figured it out, the x is missing from expires so that means there is a decimal point in the #.
