    Yes, the hood is slightly lifted so it clears just enough to close. I'm running it w out the cover but might change it up a bit.

    Does anyone have pics of what they have done to mod there hood to allow for a mk4 intake? I am going that route for my turbo setup and just wanna see what has been done to give room.

    Mine is raised a bit to give it clearance. Not sure if you can see the little gap.

    we talked about that in an old thread. someone verified that you don't need to modify the hood for the MK4 intake to fit

    Sweet, I just see so many that are raised.. Just wasnt sure why that would be the case if it just fit.

    i think it can vary from car to car, also engine mount condition/ configuration affect it too

    Starting to dust mine off little by little every night. I am a few days away from cleaning up the engine bay to put my motor back in. I will post pics along the way. I miss driving mine so much its been years..

    Resurrecting this thread. On the very first page, first photo, what is the upper radiator hose off of? I need something like that for my 1.8t swap.

    2000 miles since the swap, ODBII CE2 and ODBII block. OBDI head new head gasket/bolts, top end gaskets, oil pan gasket, water pump. Running strong with no leaks



    Extended tri-y header, 2" to a cherry bomb to a super44.
