  4. 04-22-2007 08:47 AM #4
ill upload the pics once I go out to my car and get my camera. The dope is perfect, it rubs alil in the rear, but that will be fixed this week once I adjust the camber.

I saw you yesterday in da park....great ride man... just gotta get some VW center caps...
the drop is perfect....do u rub any?

  7. 04-22-2007 09:58 AM #7
Thanks, I think im keeping the Merc caps to go with my Merc Brakes I just got. The rear Rubs alil, but only going over big dips. Im going to adjust the camber this week so that it does not rub at all.

Looks good, does anyone know if these would work with the Jetta? I would try but I'm afraid of reverse rake.

  17. 04-24-2007 11:39 PM #17

Drop looks damn near perfect, good job

MKII420- rides looking good. I didnt even change out my Struts and it rides better than the stock springs. But, once they blow I dont know if im going to go coilovers or just replace the struts.

Ya it looked like crap on the stock setup.

  23. 04-25-2007 12:34 PM #23
How long do you suspect the stock struts will last with those springs?

  24. 04-25-2007 01:04 PM #24
im hoping for 1-2 years at least.

Is the drop even? The biggest thing I have noticed latley is reverse rake, the rear tucks but the front has like a finger gap.

  27. 04-26-2007 09:21 AM #27
I just went out and looked at it and you are right. But then again my springs have not settled yet. So if it stay's they same after about a week im going to call H&R.

  28. 04-26-2007 09:25 AM #28
its not just H&R is every set of springs I have seen. Its pretty ****ty since the only way to get an even drop seems to be coilovers.

Actually H&R tends to have the opposite problem... Too much gap in the rear.

Well it is technically even but since the rear lip on the fender I guess you can say is lower then the front it always looks like there is reverse rake. Of course spring companys dont actually pay attention to that stuff they just want to make money I think it looks ugly as hell. H&R did have problems with to much gap in the rear but people were bitching so they revised the springs and came out with these new ones.

  31. 04-26-2007 11:23 AM #31
There has to be a way to have H&R fix this.

Have you ever thought that maybe the front wheel arch is a lil higher than the rear?

i mean, this is an even drop all around...

It could be, but I want them to lower it 1/2 inch in the front.
