Does your IPHONE ever freeze? To a point that you need to shut it off and restart. Does it ever slow down? Does it?

Mine iP4 might freeze or take a long time to process about once every 65 days.

FYI, I previously changed my screen contrast settings to 50% but never really noticed a change in brightness or battery usage. Finally noticed my wife's phone was set to "auto brightness" also. Haven't charged my phone in 3 days with no change in usage (up from being down to 30 or 40% every night).

Trying out the JB now on my 4s, will try later on my wifes ipad2.

Edit #2: iPhone 4s was a success!!!, however it took 2 tries. The Absinthe app has a few bugs, I guess its an early release.

Anyway, when the device reboots for the final time, the JB app says to look for the "Jailbreak" icon and to hit that. Well there is no icon labeled "Jailbreak" instead its labeled "Absinthe" and has the greenpois0n logo. Before you hit that, go into your settings and enable VPN. This is very important and they don't tell you this. After doing that, hit the new icon on your screen and the device will reboot and it will tun into the Cydia icon!!!

iPad2 a success. It took 2 tries, just like the iPhone did. I think its because 1: software is beta 2: It needs to talk back to the greenpois0n servers and their probably being pounded right now...

For instance, look at my post above. Im jailbreaking my iPhone 4s & ipad2 with Greenpois0n. Will that app also JB the iPhone 4 and iPod touch 2nd gen?

If that particular tool (greenpois0n) doesn't, perhaps others will (redsn0w,Pwnagetool, quickPwn..ect).

Today I had to get a replacement iPhone at the Apple store and something really weird happened.

Basically I got the replacement at the Apple store but they couldn't activate the new phone because I'm on a corporate account- I had to then go to the Verizon store and they were able to activate it.

After thy activated the phone I had my wife call my phone to test it but she kept getting voicemail. After a few minutes we realized that the number for my phone had a wrong digit in the number.

She calls me all the time so we know the number was correct prior.

Any ideas what caused that?

The guy at the Verizon store made a typo when he provisioned your phone on the network.

No, the number assigned to my phone was correct. XXX-XXX-5884

The number for my iphone in my wife's address book was somehow suddenly incorrect, it was showing XXX-XXX-5804.

is there a current JB tweak that will allow me to pass protect individual apps. looks like lockdown and locktopus don't work on iOS5.

Sbsettings will allow you to hide the app? That always worked for me. To use it just go to your search and start typing the app name.

that's not secure enough for me. you can easily get into the multi-task bar and launch an app from there.

i just found that applocker works very well and it's fully compatible with iOS5.

Oh sbsettings, how I have missed you. Newest update of the greenpois0n ran smooth as can be. Only had to give it the one attempt & I'm back in business. Only hiccup I've found so far is that the background for my calendar icon is now mia, so the day & date kinda blend into my wallpaper. Any thoughts?

The speed of the phone, (in apps, browser, and navigating throughout phone), Camera is amazing, all apps work flawlessly... just to name a few.

Strange. I don't recall changing that setting & mine went super-smooth. Maybe the newer version of the jb fixed that?

GreenPois0n Absinthe v0.3 for Windows worked great for me. yeah, the on-screen directions are a bit off, but not horrible.

I just did the jailbreak on a Sprint iPhone 4S that hasn't even been activated yet!

Placed an ad on Craigslist. Originally for $400, before i realized it could not be unlocked. Dropped it to $350. Had about 10 calls, sold it after a week.

What do you do to fix a stuck download? I have a few apps that are stuck in downloading mode. They have a progress bar, a completely empty one, but its there none-the-less.

I press on it but nothing is done. Im trying to reboot, we'll see..
