There's always money in the banana stand.
I'm thinking of purchasing a iPhone 4S from someone but my wife uses T-mobile. Will I be able to unlock it for her or will I need to ask the person I'm purchasing the phone from to do it?
I've read that AT&T will not do it if they are still under contract though. I'm assuming this person still is, and just upgraded to a 5. Any solutions for this?
Had the SIM card problem hit me on Friday. Rebooting the phone only worked for about an hour or two and reseating the SIM only lasted for about a day. Went to the Apple Store on Sat and the Genius said he only read about it that morning but I was the first he's come across. He said to reset the network settings and see if that helps and it doesn't then bring it back and he'll swap it out. I also cleaned the card with an eraser (as one of the suggestions in the thread) and haven't had any issues so far. Just a heads up.

ok i have an iphone 4/itunes question
how do i get stuff from my iphone onto my itunes (not using a mac im using a pc) every time i connect it asks if i want to transfer saying ill loose all my stuff on my phone when all i want to do is take the stuff on my phones (music mostly) and put it in my itunes
Yea I'm pretty sure you can buy just the dock as its got the same lightning connection as the bottom of the phone. So you'd use your OEM cable.
I got drunk Saturday. Started tossing my phone around incoherently. Everyone nearby acted like it was a legit baby. Called out GS3 owners on FB since my phone was perfectly fine. Made a video which you'd only be able to see if we were FB friends but anywho...6'-3" drop test = success. Aluminum dinged but nothing cracked.
I can't believe I have to ask this but I do.
On my older cell phones it would display the name of the contact with the number below it, like this:
The Iphone4 does not do this. Can this be enabled in some way?

I've never understood people who will cheap out on a case or a screen protector for a $600+ device. Good on you, though, for being smart enough to get Applecare+. If only everyone had the foresight to do that. I've actually been cussed out by customers for not pushing them harder on Applecare+ or insurance after they smash their phone.
EBC brakes, Injen SRI, ridiculous stereo, etc.
Holy hell lte sucks data. Never ever crossed 2 gb per month in my 7 years of smartphone ownership. Just sailed past 7gb this month, and I have a few more days to go. Luckily I still have unlimited AT&T data.
Be warned people on tiered data you will probably be paying for I higher plan.
