Thread: mod friendly VW dealers in metro Detroit?

  1. 04-13-2002 03:07 AM #1
Does anyone know of a "mod friendly" vw dealer in the Detroit area I can go to for service. I just leased my Jetta, and Im dying to start playing with it.

Also, how would I find this out...would I call the dealer and just ask them?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum

Are you talking about the sales manager, Rob? They're all great people there.

I would say that Fox is a mod-friendly dealer. What kind of mods are you talking about? If you're talking ECU and things that aren't traceable, go for it. If you're talking about exhaust and things that would void your warranty, I doubt very many places will look past the mods. Call Fox and ask for the service manager, Mike. See what he says.
So let me get this straight? Your engine is 1.8-liters, and my pop is 2?

Please NEVER say Su..Su...yeah, them, in my presence. You may get slapped.

I sold VWs at both Howard Cooper (Ann Arbor) and Fox (Rochester Hills). Those people were the anti-everything I believed in. That is all. *gets off soapbox before starting something*

Because they're nincompoops. They lie, steal, cheat, etc. and that's not how I do business. I lost more sales to them than anyone. And, the customers I lost ended up paying MORE because of their slimy trickery, yet didn't feel 'right' telling them no. Ugh. LoL.

I don't know much about their service departments, however.
