      Was this Brazilian 4x4 Kombi built by VW Brazil ?

      Very cool pics. Wish I understood Portuguese.

      Is that system the same as the ones used in later Vanagons or similar to the ones used in Quantum wagons?

      The bottom pics reminded me of an article in a mag or a passage in a book about an AWD prototype for the 1978 or 1979 model year. It was so long ago that I saw it, I don't remember the details ...

      ... so please fill us in on the details.

      Edit: I just noticed the rear corner glass of the upper pics. Wow!

      I'd kill for a 4x4 split screens. This reminds me of one of those bring AIDS documentaries I saw in school, it showed split screens mudding through all kinds of **** in Africa to brings medicine. I was surprised they didn't use modified Jeeps or Land Rovers.
