Try the 210 and 219 going to Newberg. You have to go over the mountain to get there a lot of close twists FUN as hell in a good bunny.

I don't know if anyone her said i yet, i'm too lazy to read the whole thread. But there's always Dash Point in Federal Way (135 miles north of the WA/OR border on I-5) Fun as hell just doing the speed limit. If you're looking for somewhere to test new suspension or something where you're going to want to push it, please don't go here. Kids used to try to beat the "time record" when I was in jr high/high school and in those 6 years i can think of at least 2 seperate people ( i think there was 2 in the car each time) off the top of my head that died there.

Wilsonville rd between Newberg and Wilsonville is pretty good. I haven't had a chance to drive it yet but my dad has told me Haugen rd off highway 99w outside of Newberg is good. I think he called it 29 corners or something because it has that many switchback turns, plus it is up in the hills so elevation changes. I believe its newly repaved too

FWIW, I tell all my loved ones to stay as far away from Germantown Rd. as possible. This is a curvy road in a mostly suburban area that attracts a lot of cyclists and walkers. This is not an area for spirited driving. There are blind driveways and very sharp corners.

All I know is that no one I care about is going to get mowed down by some idiot trying to imitate Walter Rohrl.

Not that I'm trying to stir the pot or anything.

I agree. The only part of skyline I ever drive for the fun of it is from Kaiser Rd to Skyline Rd. Then I hop on Skyline from there. At least on the midpoint of Germantown it doesn't seem to be so crowded.

Hwy 53 is a really good road which is why I chose it for my cruise this upcoming weekend. It is pretty rough in spots but its still enjoyable even at the speed limit until you learn where the bad spots are at.

Yep. Found that road just on accident one day dinking around way out in the sticks. There weren't too many cyclists that day but, having used to ride hundreds of miles a week way back in my youth, I'm not surprised there are.

I live at the bottom of Germantown rd and man is it fun. 2minute to skyline rd and 2 minute to Cornelious pass.

Logie trail is torn up and dangerous.
There is highway 103 to Jewell OR from 26 that has alot of tight turns and is very long then hwy 202 to Astoria, that one is very long and a blast.
I have also enjoyed the hwy 26 banks timber rd to vernonia hwy 47 run.

Highway 101 between Lincoln City and Tillamook. Absolutely beautiful drive to take in the summer time. It's quite a journey (almost 40 miles!) but the road is nice, has some twisty sections, some straight sections, but the scenery is the big wow factor.

Plus, you can get amazing ice cream in Tillamook at the cheese factory

SR 4 in Washington from Longview to Ilwaco and Long Beach is pretty nice, it hugs the north shore of the Columbia for a good portion of the drive.

Funny I grew up right off Germantown close to the bottom on Harbor blvd. Another awesome road in nw portland is McNamee is in Burlington just before Cornelius Pass runs from 30 up to Skyline. Took my wifes old 98 neon R/T up it with some new 17s with 35s on it was a freakin blast! Amazing amount of hard corners!
