Body Kits for a '98 Golf GTI VR6

I'm new to the forum, how's everyone doing?
I just bought a 1998 Golf GTI 2.8 VR6 and I'm looking for a body kit to put on it but I haven't found very many options online. Can anyone recommend a site or post pic's of theirs? Thanks.

Anyhow. You won't find many cars here with body kits. And the ones you do often get made fun of.

That being said, welcome aboard. MY advice would be to look around at some of the tasteful examples of what can be done with the car before you throw a kit on it.

look into the dubtechnik (i know i spelled that wrong) kit. It changes the factory look, and still looks pretty clean.

I'm really just looking to replace the front bumper/shirt, i don't think it looks very good compared to the new models. Not the best picture but... and thanks.

Thanks. It's the factory bumper, just with the turns/fogs and sidemarkers shaved. The grille is an FK badgeless, and the headlights are Hella MkIV-looks.

if you want a more modern clean look go for a mk3.5 cabrio front end ( 1999-2002 golf cabrio =3.5 cabrio)

I say texture bumpers,tetured door moldings,flares if you like them,
paint the roof,hood,and hatch black,and get multipieced wheels in black with polished lips,just my thoughts

edit: I forgpt smoked e codes and smoked tails of some sort,with smoked fogs,I get excited with whit golf and everything smoked

your new gti looks pretty nice, welcome. i would just throw a vr6 lip on it that you can buy pretty much any where (ebay) and youll be set untill you lower it

anyway to the OP, what dan said is pretty much the truth. It's the sheep thing to do, but start with a set of coils. They transform the car completely. I wouldn't buy a cup kit go for coils right away. I bought a cup kit and now regret it. wishing for a set of coils

anyways welcome to the tex, its good to see another nc mkIII on here. if you havent found it yet check out ncdubs.com. its not as fast on response with the tex but you get better info on local events. oh one more thing, Dan J Reed is a god here (call me a suckup idc) so check out his page (http://faculty.ccp.edu/faculty/dreed/Campingart/jettatech/index.htm) itll help out a lot. with dan j reed and a bently manual you can do just about anything.

as for your question about body kits, i have nothing to add, my car is bone stock,and will be until i have money after my trip to germany this summer. even then, im keeping it oem for the most part. personally i dont like a lot of aftermarket body kits on vw's. the germans design their cars well from the start i think, so they dont need much. maybe some wheels and a lower stance. well anyways im starting to rant.just thought id try and say something helpful. again welcome to the tex, and dont be a sheep, theres too many on here already.
