    Never Surrender (plates to DMV)!
Why? Just mark the retain plates box. There shouldn't be a problem.

Paging MARK... Do you want you plates back??? I'll send him a PM. I apparently lost his number.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. Christine has some work to do to it. But I know that she will get it done.

I was out at Niello yesterday. I was parked in a mud pit in the back 40. Niello fingered all of the Sacwater people. I guess that was their way of saying thank you for all of the hard work that the club put in.

I am up to 360 miles on the new engine. 140 til 1st oil change, then another 500 before I can romp on it.

so how many of you are running the G ladder?. Just deciding if I want to keep her stock or do stage 2 or 4 for a little umph.

Currently getting 30-33mpg highway, charger seems healthy but it will get a rebuild sooner or later. sunroof only tilts, has numerous dings and rots here and there.

  18. 04-19-2012 11:20 PM #4953
    rebuilt g lader here.

you'd probably see more gain doing head work as opposed to doing a stage 4. mine is stock with a 68mm pulley, but ported head, cam, spring, OS valves, tit retainers.

So you are running stock software with all those stuff?, how about the fpr?.

I'd say it depends what you want. If it is just for fun and you don't mind getting ~19mpg then go for it.
My previous g60 was bone stock and I was getting 33mpg freeway.
My current C is 3.5fpr, 68mm, chip, isv reroute with a home-brew rebuilt grenade and it's getting around 26mpg on the freeway. It's got a lot of torque and is a blast to romp on but unless you're getting a rarerare SNS chip then you'll still be smelling lean at WOT which is no fun..

Personally I'm planning on going back to stock for those extra mpgs. Priorities...

Ah, the old girl - good to hear she found a happy home and a good owner. If I run across anything corrado-y in nature in my garage I will be sure to pass it off to you. Thanks tho, for your consideration on the plates business. (really odd they wont let you keep em)

pretty much what I told Oliver...keep it stock and reliable and the PG motor/Digifant will run super well.

with my last motor (1.9l, 18psi lysholm, 42lb injectors, custom SNS chip, etc.) i was getting around 20 on the freeway or about 12 around town - and that was if you drove it nice.

Thanks, after camping on the g60 forum I've decided to keep her stock. Less problems. Now i need fix the failed fuel evap test. You can smell the fuel inside the car if you fill her more than $30.

I'm loving the 33mpg highway on this G60, just need to fix the numerous dents and cancer, can't stand it.

Can you see fuel dripping underneath the car? Sounds like you might want to check the rubber seal under the three screw plate in the hatch.

correct! and the ring/threadedcap thing can be a hassle to get back on but tapping it with a flat head and a hammer once you push it on a couple threads works well enough.

If it isn't that seal I would check the lines and if you have a decent dealership in the area you can always check to see if your g60 falls under the recall for a new pump and hardlines.

mine leaks when filled up and parked on an incline as well but mines a 90 and doesn't require an evap test (luckily) so the charcoal canister went into the garbage.

  31. 04-30-2012 11:53 PM #4966
wtf mine's a 90 too?, but why did they still test evap?. they pinch a hose then presurized the tank.

because if they know which hose to pinch then it would depend on the technician. technically, the charcoal canister is not visible because it is underneath the airbox.

i don't do it because it isn't listed under 90 corrado in the evap locator program and mine would fail because it leaks gas.

    i love loopholes.

All Pre 96 OBD 1 cars must have a secondary evap test. CA Smog Law. I have failed my evap test the last 2 times. My fuel tank has been out to many times now. But all of the fitting, hoses, clamps, and gaskets have been replaced.

    incorrect.

    dual tank trucks
lots of european cars including mercdes, bmw, jag
    95 explorer

and anything not listed in the evap locator.

smog technicians are being rated through a star program and not doing an evap test on a 90 corrado has not affected my score. i just sold a corrado not too long ago and i smogged it without an evap test.
