Hey all, long time no talk. I thought this thread would be more appropriate than any other place since you're all locals and rado-heads.

I'm trying to sell my 92 SLC on eBay right now. It has a few issues that I don't have time to fix and I seriously just want it gone. When I bought it I fixed it up nicely and it was awesome, but soon thereafter the chain guides blew so I swapped motors but now the HG leaks. I have receipts for everything I've done which totals a couple of grand. What I'm wondering is if I'm asking too much for the car. I don't want to go into exact amounts yet but basically, I'm losing almost a grand were I to sell it at what I want for it. However, it's on eBay with a reserve price much lower than that.

The car has three problems that I can see as deal breakers:
-HG leaks, no mixing. Just some white steam out of tailpipe and I need to add coolant once in a while
-Electrical drain, but I pulled the fuse of that circuit and no more drain, but no cig lighter etc.
-Registration is back-due. I lowered price to account for this and I'm not willing to pay for it.

The other problems are simple like scratches here and there, heater core bypassed, needs tires. The wing and sunroof both work!

Zero bids so far, 2 days left, 1000+ views. Any thoughts? If I HAD to spend more time/money on the car, which would be the better bet for selling? The HG leak or the electrical drain?

The interior is clean, the exterior polishes up nice... I just don't have the time/money/love for the car anymore.

    EDIT:
Found the exact source of the electrical drain. Fixed it and car has one less problem.

Ashkan, if you are worried about getting some or most of your money..............PARTING IT OUT might be the most logical thing to do. It sucks, but hey.........you get $$$.

That Corrado has a lot of potential. I suck at estimating values since this cars are too close to my heart and most people underrate corrados a lot.

Did you have an asking price?

Sounds like a plan, but I don't think the teardown will happen tomorrow. Due to certain events, I will probably put the car in storage for a week or so until I get back from a trip I have planned. I will accumulate the parts I need and post when I will do the teardown. I guess it'll be a wrenching party. Only thing is we can only work on my car! Stupid SM county laws that I can elaborate on to any company present.

ive done pretty much everything on my street from dropping fuel tanks to headgaskets, lol. however i pretty much stopped since there's a lift at my shop and it looks tacky when you live in a nice neighborhood.

I'm looking for a set of window scrapers and maybe the driver and passenger window glass too.

After the re-spray is done in my car I'm planning on tinting the windows and the passenger side window in my car has a couple scratches.

I'm surprised my corrado started with 1 click after a 3 week vacation. I guess the new window module fixed the drain.

@959Lover that's a nice corrado, way better looking than my cancer stricken G60.
Hope you keep it, HG is not a big task just takes time.

Leo is mr. part itout lol.

I have a 1990 G60, manual, with approximately 160k mikes. I purchased this car from owner anout 5 years ago and is all original and stock with exception of the clean Borbet rims. Sweet black leather interior. Original parts all down to the Heidelberg stock radio. Original supercharger and clutch need to be replaced. Needs a fuel pump as well. No second gear transmission grind and spoiler works.
Car was my daily driver until I got rear ended a few years back. Rear end where VW emblem got pushed in a bit and bumper thrashed but I've since got a replacement rear bumper. So with this damage, insurance gave me a salvage title. I have 2 other Corrados and was going to either use this for parts or get her back on the road. At this point, I'd rather have her go to a Bay Area owner that will take good care of her.
    Will email pictures upon request.
    Car is not running:
Fuel pump is out, used it on my other Corrado.
    Supercharger needs to be rebuilt
    Clutch needs to be replaced.
