    Well..

I am wiring an Audi Fan Control Module into our appalling fan system so that the fans with be PWM instead of having to rely on the internal resistor that fails all the time.

The Audi controller has a spare input, so I can add a manual fan switch at 85% max speed to cool it in traffic if the a/c is off.

    ...you did ask..

The wiring is a nightmare really...you need to keep the stock controller as well but the audi one takes over the fan speed control part....40% 50% 85% and 100% speeds available.

    All worked out now though

Thanks I'm not sure about it either. although it's not as blatant in person, it was a little "quieter" with the black paint but it really stands out now. I'm thinking I'll paint that too, leaving the two thin strips where the hood rises exposed and then bury the whole thing in high build clear to get rid of the natural "warbles" in the carbon. Either that or tint it somewhat to mellow it out a bit.....that or wrap the roof in carbon pattern vinyl and just own that ish.

Care to share a schematic? I'm pretty handy with electrical systems and have been thinking about doing something like that. Didn't know audi's used that technology - thought relays were a VAG wide thing.

Replaced my front passenger side axle.

Tried unsuccessfully to locate the source of an intermittent sound coming from my front driver's side.

Thank you VDubbPeach! I've wanted to paint a car this color since I saw it on a TT Roadster when TT's were still a slight novelty!

I've seen Audi TT's, Porsche GT3 RS' and Lamborghini Murcielago's with this similar color too. Wonder who copied who?
