You know the AFL is going great guns when Carlton wants to lose and Richmond wants Carlton to win.

Do you reckon the AFL would be learning anything from cycling if the cycling world wasn't full of drug cheats?![]()

Speaking as a Lions fan (though I count myself as a very very distant AFL follower) I was just surprised to see Aka say he could learn something off someone....![]()

Yeah, they gave Syndey the Grand Final that year... this year they are a very different team.

No, cause they would just keep going along in their niave little bubble thinking that it never happens in their sport and casting massive aspersions over other sports, when they have deep seeded issues themself.

More fuel for Lima's fire...They dont even test for EPO... pffft.
Judge away all you like... at least some sports are making an effort to ban drugs!

Yeah, if that is true, that is pi55 weak.

Although, having said that it is contradictory to the stuff I researched before which indicated that the PED testing was out of the hands of the AFL and the drugs tested for was under the control of ASADA. After reading all that guff the other week it seemed that the AFL only had a say in what players were tested for when it was under their illicit drug use policy. Given EPO would be under the PED category the material I read suggested this was out of the AFL's realm and that ASADA would do the testing for whatever drugs they thought under the auspices of the Australian Sports Drug Agency Act.

Might be worth casting an eye on the Geelong footy club after the interview I've just heard with Max Rooke. He was sent off to Germany for hamstring treatment and has been getting injected with calf blood.

Touché.![]()
Anyway you should be cranky, you dropped off 80 points since you last played Richmond, and seeing this game was at home, that's like a 100 point turn around, at least.

Yeah, I think the team doesnt want to show too many of its cards at the moment.I actually didnt watch the game 'cause I was working, so I dont know what happened.

Oh well, looks as if the cyclists can pass on some more tips to the AFL, if they haven't already passed some on to the players.![]()

I think the AFL could think about introducing the "Aka" test.
If "Aka" mentions you in a news article you get a 2 year ban with no court of appeal. You know it makes sense

Beautifully tanked, again, by the Blues!![]()
Thanks to the fat ***** running the league and his sacrosanct draft and salary cap system, we have more to gain by not winning again this year, so I don't want us to get over the line. Round 22 against Melbourne, last regular game of AFL before the finals, shapes to be a complete shambles.

Huh?
Geelong won didn't they? My old mate Jimmy Bartel played out of his skin... a true champion!
GO CATS!!! Minor premiers 2007... lets hope they can pull off that last week in September!
Melcolm Blight says he thinks they have what it takes.

Their percentage is freakish, and statistically speaking the team which concedes the fewest points over the H&A season is thereabouts come grand final day. Couple that with the fact they are also the highest scoring team so far and things certainly look good for the cats.To think they almost sacked Bomber and almost traded Bartel.

Fingers are crossed, but you cant help but have some doubt that the wheels will fall off like they have in the past...
I read the Herals Sun & The Advertiser report from the games (Both with very differing opinions on the game, naturally :laugh ) and everyone has nothing but praise for Geelong... shut Ablett down and there are three other players to step up... they were talking of 5 or 6 players that statistically should be in the All Australian... and 3 or 4 that are outside possiblities...
We just have to keep the wheels on!!!
