true. this years draft is meant to be pretty weak. #1 pick kreuzer is wayyy ahead of everyone else. after him, theres no real stand outs.apparently WCE wants two top 10 picks for judd.

At least it's pepped up some interest in the draft this year, I thought last year was boring.

I'm keeping a lid on it... its a tough one when half the town is painted blue and white right now... the people of the town wonder where it all goes wrong each year in the past!?!My sisters BF is a Collingwood man and we are all Geelogn supporters (in limited amounts...) so it should be an interesting weekend!
#144
Ok who is going this Friday? I have been invited to the match. I don't know much about Footy, but because this isn't a corporate box ticket and instead a good ticket on the outside, I thought I would give it a go. I have never sat in a footy match outside of the corporate hospitality, and I think it will be fun.![]()

Toddy, you should go to the game bro. Probably be a better atmosphere to the GF, no b-grade pre-match entertainment, no fvvking suits sitting in the stands (except for WAY), and a cracking game of footy to boot.
And you can always kick Joffa in the nuts this week, because he won't be at the game next weekend.

I'd love to, but I'm in Mt Gambier. I spent last week in Victoria for my birthday, so I have some work to catch up on! I caught the "Across the Great Divide tour" in Ballarat and was delayed a day, so its hard to get the next Friday off to go to the footy...
#151
Oh, I also have a fair few Grand Final parties to attend and if the Cats get in and win it, Geelong will be an awesome place to be on Saturday night!

I would have taken the box Wayne.
At least then you wouldn't be sandwiched between two feral fans who haven't been near a shower since before their shift at the meat works which was followed by a stint at the Cricketer's, followed by a few quick Cougars before the siren to get them primed.
And then the obligatory punch-up after 3/4 time, and maybe a chunder on your shoes as they get tired and emotional........
Ahhhhhhhh.......the atmosphere![]()

Most pathetic thing I've ever witnessed was at my uncle's (Carlton supporter) engagement party a few years back down in Melbourne, when all of her friends and family that were there (80% of the guests as it was her first marriage and his second) sung the collingwood song at the party... It was just as pathetic as it sounds..

There is a 2 in 3 chance that the Premiership winning team will be from the spiritual home of the AFL as well.... Go Victorian teams! HahahaPort Adelaide... thats the SA version of Collingwood!!

My friend who is an ambo said he had a phone call from one of his bosses about a bit of over time in Geelong for Grand Final weekend. Apparently they are bringing in all the cavalry for the occasion... cops and ambos...

i guess they ran out of steam right at the last couple of minutes
i tellyou what it wouldn't surprise me a bit if they loose in the grand finals

Last night's match was pretty awesome. Hearing 98000 people roar in MCG was quite a highlight for me. Definitely more fun than corporate hospitality, but a bit chilly though.
