Anybody else see these? Its a 5L mini keg with a tap and everything. It is suppose to last for 30 days after you open it. I think Heineken is going to make a killing with these. I got one for about $18, plus .05 deposit (weird huh?)

i get the warsteiner ones![]()

Less beer with them for the price, otherwise i might have to try it out.
#5
theres a liquor store that i know of that carries 4 or 5 different kinds, cant remember thm all off hand though. I havnt tried them yet but my buddy has, he liked it.![]()
#6
is it really less beer volume per $?
#7
They've been around for a few years now but they seem to have disappeared for the past few months and are making a comeback. I just saw them at 711 ten minutes ago. I also saw that Heineken is offering a $20 mail in rebate when you buy two 12 packs.
#8
Yeah, I see a lot of those at import, etc., places, very convenient...but, man, you need to drink more if 5L is lasting 30 days!![]()

OH yeah for sure. The 30 day thing is completely irrelavent to me. 1-2 days is all that matters

case of 24/12= ~33.00 (that's $1.38 per 12 oz beer)
mini-kegs= ~20.50 (that's $1.46 per 12 oz beer)It's only an 8 cent difference. I typically wouldn't be worried about that small of a difference. I'd be more worried about the fact that it tastes like piss.

You get 14 12oz beers from a 5L keg. In CT, the Keg goes for 19.99 but a 12pack is like 14 bucks or something like that.It is cool, but the last few beers are mostly foam.
#13
this thing could make the beer bong obsolete. There has to be some value in that
#14
They're also good for the beach, esecially for a small group and when no glass is allowed.1 container vs. 12...

I just picked one up today. Good idea, but I wish there were more and better beers doing this.

They have a Bell's Two Hearted Ale in one of these! One of the best beers out there. Unfortunately it doesn't last 30 days like the Heine keg.

I love Bell's but I have never seen it in the liquor store I go to. I'll have to ask about it next time I go.

When I can buy Warsteiner for the same price or cheaper there is no reason to get Heineken. A few weeks ago I picked two up on sale for $14 each.
Minikegs are practical, they take up so much less space in the fridge than the same amount of bottled beer.....
They also make fun targets for shooting (filled with water)....

Dude its $37 for the friggin thing up here.

I'm a big fan of the Heineken mini keg. It may be a little more money per beer, but its with it to eliminate that skunky taste that Heineken bottles have.![]()

see..so it isnt really worth it. you could get a 12 pack + a 6 pack which equals more then what that keg has for less moneys.

I only paid $18 + tax for mine.
#35
16 plus tax if you pay in cash at certain places around here, and they dont last anywhere close to 30 days. they go flat around 5 days out is what i'm seeing. but I usually house em in 2-3 days.![]()
