Starting a thread for the wagons owners out here, I know there are a few around

I hope it will become similarly popular and that we will get a lot of good info/tips/tricks in here
Long live the wagons!!!
Finally had a chance to take some nicer pics of the wagon with the new highline roof rails installed, on a sunny day with a nice, clean car...so I figured I'd whore them out here!:
Thanks Gary...I'd love to, but I'm a slave to my work and too old to handle going out on worknights! As I get close to 40, I enjoy more and more coming home from work at 6pm and settling in for the night. If I went out on Thursday night, even if I got back home by 9 or 10, I'd be up until 4am - it'd mess with my schedule! Having to wake for work at 7:30 would be impossible - I'd be a zombie all day.
Make it Fri or Sat, and I could make it...but Sun through Thu - I'm in my jammies by then.

lol ..... and the fact that we start meeting around 10pm doesnt help
however ! we are leaving Friday night to go to Orlando for the B6 and MK5 meet, you are more than welcome to join us on the way there, Andy (mreuro) is driving from Coconut Creek area
btw ... I am a slave to my work too, I am finally back at home after being away for 4-5 days
White 2007 2.0T w/ Package 1, 16" wheels. Company car - replaced a B5.5 wagon. Noisy car...has this weird howling sort of sound like a cupped tire but the dealer's put new bearings in all wheels and a new set of tires. Sound persists. Took me for a drive in a sedan with the same wheels - had the same sound. Nice car, but I guess I'm just sensitive to that noise. Bugs me.
Then again, it IS a free car for me so I'd better stop whining....

I am having the same problem right now, it feels almost like the tires or wheels are out of round, and it makes that helicopter sound like a window is open, but very slight, not as loud

I notice the same howling sound as well, I hope it's not wheel bearings. Will ask dealer to check it on my 20K service.
Guys, thanks for the affirmation that I'm not insane nor is my dealer telling me fibs.
It's not a wheel bearing. It wasn't tires. My dealer went thru all sort of efforts with this car to try and sort out the noise. But the noise is just there. Darned irritating but it is just plain there.
and I'm gonna have to learn to deal with it.
What really grapes my squildo is that VW would let the cars be sold making this noise. I think it's pretty poor on their part.
On another note
I did fit Eurotails to my Variant...no rear fog, just the yellow turns. I think they're safer, never mind that they look neat

So, let me get this straight: the terms"wagon", "estate", "variant" & "avant" basically describe the same type of vehicle....more or less.....?

new to vwvortex, but looking at getting a B6 wagon. Never liked the chromed grill. Much perfer the GTI or Audi style (black). Love what you did ...where, how much, etc? You just made my decision to get this car much better...haha

Towing stuff - Wired for towing with a 7-way plug. Prodigy P3 brake controller. Class 1 hitch. Drawbar with a 9" rise.
Car stuff - APR Badge
, H&R springs, NSP boost gauge, In.Pro smoked front and mirror signals, back-up camera (soon to be on the trailer).
I know I'm gonna get a million questions about the trailer, so here:
It's a 1500 lbs, hard sided A-frame. Wiring the car was not easy. I had to buy a brake controller, and a light controller (Reese Modulite), do a ton of research, and give it to the dealer for 2 days. It's wired directly from the outputs on the lighting computer. The 7-way plug includes back-up lights plus the usual left-right-stop-marker-12V-ground-brakes.
I'm thinking of painting my grille like the gli/gti
