LOL I wondered the same thing. BTW, the first time I tried to put up the wipers, I hadn't read the manual on how to do it. I mean, seriously, who knew? It wasn't fun to clean up the snow the next morning.

As I was writing I kind of knew what the answer would be but.... I have honestly never seen any car have their wipers up I usually just pull them from the window instead of using the motor. But hey I learn something new each day.

    Thanks guys.

    Would ya look at that..

I'm glad I started this thread. Its great seeing all your B6's. Gives us something to envy and helps us think of ideas and mods for our (my) b6.

Thanks for everyone posting pics. Lets keep this one going.

My next mods are H&R Sport Springs and a rear sway bar, as well as some 18 inch aftermarket wheels. Not too sure what I want yet.

    Would ya look at that..

Do you have any detailed instructions of the lighting mods you've done to your Passat? I'd love to repeat some of your mods and feel good about the fabrication part of it all, but am not any sort of electrician. PM back or email. Thanks.

I'm tempted to try it, but we have a bodyshop that does that for me for free(paints things matte black) usually.

I like it because since it is rubber coated, it will resist rock chipping and weather wear better.

Awesome black grille, I'm still waiting for the weather to warm up in order to paint my spare one So do you find Scotchbrite pad works better than sand paper?

I used 400 grit because I had some lying around. Prep and end result was perfect.

Pretty much anything would work as long at the product has something to bite when you spray it on. It'll peel if the surface is too glossy. Make sure you wipe the surface with prep-all or some sort of of solvent too, to get any residue off before you spray.

Home Depot. I found it in the tool section. It comes in a spray can. Mask off what you don't want coated... Just get some 220 grit scotchbrite or sandpaper, scuff up the chrome part of the grille, wipe with prep-all or another pre-paint solvent to remove sanding residue and oils/waxes, and then spray on about 5 coats, about 20 minutes in between each coat. Honestly, it's hard to mess up! Turns out great

Thanks for the quick response... Is Plasti Dip the name of the brand or what brand did you use? Also what paint prep did you use? is it available also at Home Depot? Painting section?

I'm pretty good at spray paining, but I've never dealt with those two items...

    Thanks

Yep. It's called Plasti-Dip. Do a Vortex search and you should find more info about it. I used this to wipe down before and after using the scotchbrite pad:

I got it at Autozone, but it's made by Kleen Strip, so it might be available at Home Depot as well.
