I could've put this in the Computer forum but I figured you guys would know what I want and are more likely to understand the question.

Could someone please send me (email is in my Profile) ICC profiles for the Dell 1905FP and 1907FPV (both models are the Samsung panel variants)? IIRC, Dell usually provides a baseline profile for their monitors.

I've got these two monitors at work and the colour rendiditon is way off. Since photo editing isn't part of my job I can't get IT to purchase calibration hardware. Generic Dell profiles are going to get me close enough.

At a minimum if I can get either one of those profiles then I can trust one of my monitors.

Dell doesnt use .ICC but .ICM. I believe they are the same thing though and work just as you would an .ICC. I'm about to test my work's Dell monitor with their original .ICM. The ICM's can be found in the driver package straight from Dell Support

I did a search and yours came up:

What a coincidence. After looking at the back of my work monitor, mine too is a 1905FP, I just update my monitor driver from "Plug and Play" to the Dell driver and also loaded the 1905FP.ICM in Color Management.

I can tell you this monitor SUCKS for editing/photo work. For instance, looking at this on the 1905FP (which I edited the photos with), there is very little noise when looking straight on. On my View Sonic at home, HORRIBLE noise.

A little trick I've discovered to see if the 1905FP is "hiding" the noise is to stand up and look down at the monitor at about a >60 degree angle, the more the better. I don't think this is something color profiling will solve.

Awesome, thanks. I tried the search but didn't realize that was where the profiles were contained. Thanks

    Agreed.

Someone posted a long exposure image recently in this forum that looked OK on my work monitor but horrible on my laptop at home. The Dell had competely hidden the noise.
