    yes actually it is!!
but it is in berlin best city in europe!! for shure (not because of obi though)
i still regred that i didnt race the gtr that pulled up and wanted the other way when i left the parking lot... it was a cold evening and traction was bad so i just drove home
would have been a nice video for shure...
next time in spring with more warm and more traction ill look for him or other victims again

    thanks, but i am pi ss ed off like h e l l !
    not at you though!
at that dumb a ss that jumped over the 15foot wall into ronnys workshop broke into the garage and smashed in my passenger side window to vandalize my car and steal my stereo.
these idiots stole some other stereos as well from other clients cars...
ill post some pics of the damage later!
i was buisy to get all the small pieces of broken glass out of the interior and the door all day.
lucky for me ronny ordered the LAST available passenger side OEM window in germany!!
    damages:
    -boken pass window
-pass seat ripped up from the glass
    -interior paint scratched
-center console ruined and ripped out
    -cabels cut
-interior heat axchanger damaged(i had 3 liters of cooling water in my interior!)
    -dash broken

and all that 4 my 100$ stereo
i hope they didnt cut into the cable tree and have to check all funktions after the battery
    is recharged.

    some questions!
-when i replace the window do i have to take out the bar between the small triangular window and the side window??
-the window clamp goes on the window first or on the mechanism first??
-is there a way that i can support my now cracked dash easily?
    help is as always appreciated

What a shame Jens .... That is some pretty bad damage made to get a radio.

Anyway - I feel your pain! Came out to my Audi yesterday morning to find the doors unlocked and my radio missing from the dash!
Only "good" thing was that only the lock in the frontdoor was destroyed. Centerconsole and the rest of my leather interior was allright!

I hope you get all the things repaired - Do you have any insurance to pay for the damage??

since it was stored in ronnys shop the shop insurance will cover some damage, i dont know how much though...
i wish i would catch one thief one time, i would show him what damage really means...
sad to hear that you had bad luck as well...

    actually no issiues...!
the only thing they didnt like too much was that i have no spare tire...
friday morning i am going to go for the first big test, germany-norway 1300km lol
best thing is that i got the euro 4 emission norm (best possible) so my mk1 is actually enviromental friendly!

    dudes i am in norway!
not stranded or broken down everything worked fine on my roadtrip!
    here some pics:
9oclock in the morning i took all the stuff i wanted to take with me from the mk4 into the rabbit (hence my new license plate ) and off i was on my way to norway...
on the pic is my mom who has to drive the mk4 into the summer storage

since the first stretch berlin--hamburg is partially unlimited speed (leagally i just had to stretch her legs a little
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoTXQfT90ZA

after that i cooled down to cruising speed of about 80mph and made it to the danish border with only 1 pitstop for refueling

unfortunately there was a big pile up in danmark an in this chaos i missed my exit and drove 1 hour wrong direction
i refueled again bougt a map and some hours later i actually reached the ferry in hirtshals on time!

1000km in a lowered mk1 without noise insulation on one day, beat that

i guess as far as i was off my way i could have visitied enur

    whats up around here lately??
i made it to bergen in one piece, so did the car without problems!
i started 10.30 in the morning and drove 680km on beautiful backroads (they are actually the main roads here) what a blast!
here 2 pics i snapped on the highest point on top of the hemsedalsfjellen 1100m above sea level

i also made a video but my telephone auto rotated it, if someone knows how to rotate it back please
tell me how! at the end i start to take over some bmw and a honda....

nice work! road trips are always more fun when you DONT break down i just got my registration a few months ago for my coupe so i know the feeling of having to jump through hurdles just to be able to drive the car, i cant wait to take mine on a big road trip too

  31. 04-25-2009 02:17 PM #346
CONGRATS on a successful first voyage, it always makes it seem worth all the late nights and broke paychecks esp when its a flawless trouble free trip, proof you built that car wonderfully. Great pics as well i miss traveling in europe, esp B roads.

oh and nice flat out video, what was the top speed?

helly mk1 fans, here now the newest addition to my pain(t)

first time backing out of the new garage (wich is full og stuff from the p o)
to avoid to scratch my rims on the right i looked backwards and that was it!!
front left of the bumper totally scratched

after i finished to punch myself in the face and crutch i drove to work, first day at work after 4 weeks vacation and i show up totally unrelaxed and angry.

needless to say that i spend all my money to get her done and so there are no founds left to fix that before friday ( first car show of the year here in bergen called spring meet ).
so i am going to show up there like this :-(
anyone with ideas how to hide that good please post since i am on rock bottom now!!

    @nick 516

my dash is not finished in carbon yet because so i have to save again... credit card is maxed out atm so no chance to buy anything...

Hey Jens ... Good to see that your car made it all the way to Norway!

You should have been welcome to visit me - But I can't believe you drove that much in the wrong direction!
    Where did it go wrong??

Nice scratches you made on that front bumper - I recently did something similar on my Audi, but not as bad as yours. That is just bad luck

I must do an update on my Golf project soon - I have NOT forgotten it, but I have been busy with helping my friend and his Passat. But I have started the work on the Golf again. (Also got some of my new bodyparts)
