    I've heard that from quite a few people today Katie lol. It pretty much came down to the GLI being a 6 speed. For me the R was boring with the DSG.

    When I'm bored with a car, it's normally not good, so that's why I got rid of it. Yeah, it turned heads and got a lot of interest from people, but the cons outweighed the pros in the end.

    If your going to be staying stage 1 or 2 I would say go with unitronic, but if there any plans in the future for ko4 or larger than APR

    Ok cool. I've noticed that the hp numbers seem to be about the same from company to company, but being my first turbo car, I figure a little opinion wouldn't hurt either.

    I noticed when I had the R that most other R owners preferred Unitronic or United Motorsports. I haven't really had time to do a whole bunch of research, but hopefully I can in the near future.

    Guys I need some help please.
    I'm having issues with inspection due to a catalytic code, (catalytic below threshold bank 1).
    I've had an aftermarket turboback Milltek on my '02 Jetta since 2003. Here's my question, I still have the original exhaust so can the cat be replaced with the stock one??

    you could try putting a spacer on for the 02 sensor.
    the same thing happened on my wifes car and thats what I had to do untill
    I could replace it.

    United Motorsports is great for the NA cars (2.5's/3.2's), but uni is better for turbo cars. If I had a TSI engine I'd just go straight to K04. Like 350 chp for $2600 That'd be my 2nd mod.

    Yeah I ended up talking to John at VW south Charlotte this morning. I might just wait and switch to a K04 at tax time and do it all in one fell swoop. I've heard it's good times lol.
