Discount tire right there is good. do not go to the Goodyear place across the street they are scamers. I got a few of them fired and their inspection lisence revoked when they was trying to pawn off unnessacary work on a legal car and claim it failed inspection. As far as the whitewater place. For the same price you can do the real thing and it last most of a day instead of 2 hrs. A little disappoitned.

any interest in any people going with next timeI haven't but my fiance was there a couple weeks ago for a work thing. Said it was a lot of fun. I also understand they have a nice walking trail and an 11 mile Mountain Bike Trail.

Plus they pricematch even with tirerackYeah, Im going to need an alignment though. Havent had one since the cupkit install.

any interest in any people going with next timeThe USNWC is great. I haven't gone whitewater rafting or kayaking, but I've been mountain biking in the trails. Awesome. A very good 7 mile workout. They also have rock climbing, which looks nice too.

#217
Well everyone, yesterday was not a good day for me because this is what happened...
A big thank you to Brian for a great referral on the body shop, they were awesome when I went by to take these pictures today and were so nice and cooperative....and most of all sympathetic!!!![]()
#218
Sorry to hear that happened, but now you can do that Jetta front end swap you wanted.
#220
I am guessing you are o.k?
sorry to hear about your car.
#221
Man that blows. Hopefully nothing structural was damaged..that stuff ads up
#222
Let me know if you need help with anything mechanical. I can't do body work or paint tho~Mike

Quote, originally posted by G60TurboR32 » is it totaled? Hopefully it's not totaled. The insurance adjuster isn't looking at it til later this week but the owner of the body shop said he would be very shocked if they consider it totaled because it really is all fixable.
And thank you Mike for the offer on mechanical but if I do get it fixed I think I have to have it all done at one place and I believe the body shop also does mechanical, but a big thank you for the offer.
And thanks everyone for the support and kind wishes, and like everyone has said...the car is replaceable but my dog and I are not

Wow. I hope your ok. But this really is a blessin in desguise for your swap. If you came out ok, looks like someone up there really likes you!

Griffin Brothers in Mooresville hooked me up. New tires and *tada* alignment. Never heard of the tires, but the guy was comparing them to the Goodyear Eagle GT HR's that I wanted, but said these were better. They are Delta Shadow something's. They are WICKED quiet! Dunno about performance yet, as I havent really attempted to test them.

sucks about your car, but glad youre alright![]()

Damn Kristen! That sucks! Im glad you and Scott are alright.... I highly doubt it's totaled though, car should still hold a good value and I doubt repairs will cost over 70%. Either way, it gives you the perfect excuse to get that front end we were talking about. The guys at McClure are very nice and very professional, they will take good care of youLet me know if you need anything else

McClure was awesome yesterday! Mason was so nice and also professional at the same time, but explained everything thoroughly since I explained I had never been in an accident before and everything.
And he is totally gonna take care of me and try to get this front end looking how I want it with aftermarket parts!!!

So i'm on my way to work today and i see this new civic SI on the road. So i wind up right beside the guy at a red light. And he was flying before so i could tell he was going to jump at the light. I creeped up so we were even at the light and then Green...we both gun it. I'm in front by about a half a car link, and then "Chirp" second gear and pull forward, but he held pretty close at the tail of my car. The funny part is when traffic caught back up with us, i tried to wait for the guy to look over, but i guess he was too "cool" or too embarassed that he has a brand new car and had to look at my tails the whole time.

Hahaha yeah..... I had something similar happen to me with a new Si... they, like most any other Honda, lack from torque, which is where these new 2.0T's shine... dude got walked and then was too embarrassed to pull up next to me again

Yeah, dont get me wrong, I love my 1.8T, and I wont be able to afford a MKV until after I get out of college anyways. I think its fast how it is (stock) and once I chip it and thow and exhaust on there I think I'll be more than pleased with it.

im gettin a hankering for gettin stuff for my car, but everything i want costs at least 400-500 per item (not to mention all the stereo stuff im still being patient enough to plan out and wait for as well)...driving a stock car sucks....all those years priveleged w/ upgraded vehicles, now i got a quick, fast, stock right. its a badass ride, but im ready to pour the money down the drain

Ask Bryan about the Lexus IS350 on our way to Charleston. Out of two mk5 GTIs, my 1.8T mk4 GTI, and a Turbo VR6 mk3 GTI, the only car having problems keeping up was the 300hp Lexus.

im going to be at GMP tomorrow Thursday the 9th at 3:30-to about 4:10 anybody else going to be there?

Hahaha man... that was fun... dude's face was priceless after he realized he couldn't shake us... and that we were actually pulling on him... but yeah I agree, 1.8T's have nothing to be ashamed of!

this is true but we also had a distinct weight advantage.
