did you configure the outputs for MS? an configure megatune for the LC-1?

MS is configured for a LC1... What outputs are you speaking of... in the LM programmer?

yeah you have to setup the lc-1 to talk to the MS, just like you tell the MS that its using the LC-1

you are one lucky biotch having all this great advice on here. I'm sticking with the turbo diesel, one wire to the engine + snail = not as fast as yours but a hell of a lot easier.

Yep, the mk1 community is just that - a community.

Ha ha!!! This is a very funny comment. Diesel is no less complicated. Timing the pump and maintaining a high performance tune is just as specific in its requirements. I agree though the mk1 Community seems to really come together around "Super Projects" like this one.

I have had a TON of help from people. This car is truly the "peoples' car". I couldn't have done it without the community.

On a side note... I got the CTS to work. The CTS and Wideband were swapped going into MS. I switched them and now the CTS is mint. I just need to but a terminating thingy for the in of the Innovate port and I'll be able to calibrate.

You can add the analog gauge but as I am finding out it is not accurate at all. I just got back from a late night rip in my car and all I watched was the gauge in Megatune.

Anyone know how I go about starting a race fund? It's going to be spendy to cart the rabbit down to Florida. I'll be lookin for sponsors. Money would go towards travel expenses so it won't count towards the budget.

Oh... ad Kris... I will be needing to get a eurowerks visor banner

Let me know if you have any ideas

check the GRM rules, sometimes they have rules for sticker placement i know to run national autox's you HAVE to run the tire rack in that spot

if it was me, id get the car out to some events asap an get pics an show that the car is out there getting coverage to show some company's that you will be getting them exposure. make up a proposal an do it all professional like, bring in the magazine feature on the challenge etc..

set the motor to TDC, make sure you get it EXACTLY at TDC. close will work but it won't be accurate unless you are spot on.

put a paint pen mark at the bottom of the pointer in the trans hole. that is your tdc mark

in spark settings, set your fixed angle to 0 (should be at -10), burn to ecu. grab a timing light an line up you dot a 0 by moving the dizzy. when it lines up, lock down the dizzy. go back into spark settings an put the fixed angle back to -10. burn to ecu.

So funny!!! I have been following the thread watching the build never getting the fact that you were coming to my home town to compete in the $2008 GRM Challenge, wow...

Anyway, hope everything works out and you can make it. I also hope i am not out of town cause i would love to see it. Also, the shop where I keep/store/work on my rabbit is only 15 minutes from the track, so if I am in town i will do everything I can to help out...

Finally, if you can fit 13" wheels on the front of your car I have a set of 22" slicks that would be awesome for the Drag competition.

Ohhhhhh snap... That is awesome! I just printed out the registration form this mornin. I'm sure it will all work out. I just need to get sponsors for gas money. My wheels are 13s, That would be amazing to have a bit of help. You'll have to let me know how much you want for the slicks. My budget is pretty close to tapped. I may take some stuff off that could give me some room though. I just took off my adjustable fpr... that'll free up some cash. I'm super stoked!

Took the 1st plug out... stuck a rod down thar... made sure it was at TDC... saw that it was damn close to where the mark is supposed to be (at 11 o'clock from the bolt on the flywheel).

    So I marked it:

Also installed slapped in the cheapo dodge fpr... Thanks Chuck!

Great to hear. Yeah the price will be right. You should however try and get some back up CVs under budget as well. The slicks are used so $20.00 a piece should cover them. I will throw in wheels as well just gotta find a set. I have access to a mounting machine so I can do that for free, hehe.

    Brake lights... check.

I had to extend the wiring a bit because the NA brake lights are in a different place.

I just need to hook up the blinkers, reverse lights, driving lights, headlights, tach... then it's on.

Anyone have any connectors for the blinker and wiper stalk... the ignition at the key... and the brake pedal?

I may take it out tomorrow night or tonight. Before it gets dark that is... I've been wicked busy with work so that's held me back a bit. Then I noticed that I didn't have the wiring I though I had
