I don't care about wheels and that hump behind the rear doors.
I love the color and do like the front mask.

Niether one will get me just the tool. And since i dont need a clutch, MJM got my business.
I used to have a universal one but i broke off one of the adapter's studs in the tool.

It should get here tuesday, along with my new crack pipe( broke an almost new one taking it out)

Drove it home misfiring and running really rough, so I decided to stop using it for a bit. FPR vac line was busted, ESS code probably didn't help.

Gonna get my ESS replaced, and since the intake manifold is off currently, I'm contemplating taking off the front end and deleting the SAI and swap in my non-ABS booster while I'm at it.

I guess I'm going to be riding my bike for a while.

Went and bought my third front driver's side door. Finally got the car to seal properly after owning the car for 5 years. Yay no more wind sound with door closed! Had to replace the regulator/motor out of the one I bought. Bought it with everything in it, so now the latch actually works properly. Nice sounding door close now with no metal clanging sound.

I compare my drivers side door buying experience to girlfriends. This one has less flaws than the last 3.

Was the vertical bar on the latch side of the door part of your "clanging" sound?? Mine makes a clunk about 2/3 the way down the door when the window is down. The long rail on the reg hits that bar. I "massaged" that bar a bit and its better but not perfect. And that door always sounds weak or flimsy when closing it compared to the other 3

I would have to check. I think the track on my window went bad and then I found out that the regulator was pretty flimsy as well as the door hinge set screw was pretty loose. I figured the combo of all of those things contributed to the metal sound when I closed the door.

Purchased a set of chrome elements for speedo a while back on ebay.
It included elements (foil only) for needels and displays and so on.
The set was framed with chrome foil and that happend to have the appropriate width.

Heres a pic of what I did with the set:

Installed relayed e-codes. Holy sh¡t- what an improvement over the NA ones! Output is so much crisper and cleaner. Well worth the small investment.

I finally installed my front motor mount. Only took 10min. Most of that time was jacking the car/motor/transmition (3 jacks) and looking for the right socket (i need to clean pir my tool bag). Took her for a lil ride to test the motor mount and help knock some carbon out and it been 2 yrs since I really drove it. Got back and started poking around under the hood to see what's next and that everything is ok. I pulled my #2 plug wire and there is oil ontop of my spark plug
I already changed her valve cover gasket but did it seat properly? I am don't think I used gasket sealer. I also find I'm leaking coolant (not new) from a hose that is almost new (thats new) my power steering reservoir is leaking so my pump was dry had to fill with at fluid. Going to have to fix that. Got a big day tomorrow. Fix the vw get her a trip permit, change oil and filter take her to les schwab (stiff brakes), and get it home. I really hope no more issues happen in between all that. Tomorrow is going to cost some $. I just want my baby back but I know this is the the life of a dub owner.
say nothing about the fram filter it goes tomorrow
    this mount is trashed

a bad shot of how bad the mount was ill post better ones on my thread.

^Please get rid of that junk Fram filter. The OEM ones are $5. I'd recommend running the diesel filter.

Today I cranked the boost up from 20psi to 25psi. Sweet jebus it's insane - spins through third like a bastard! I really need to install my diesel .717 5th that's been lying around for ages...

Did you run a diesel filter on your Syncro? I couldn't get the diesel filter wedged in there for anything... do I need to pound a recess into the crossmember or something?

Thought about it. As I am in Puerto Rico and the B4 is in N.Y. Guess that's why it only has 71k miles on it.

I always prefered the G60 Corrado filter, if only for the wrench bung on the end. Might have to see about ordering in one of those diesel filters next time.

Are there any perks to running a diesel filter as opposed to just a Fram? Fram filters are the only ones I've ever used and I've never had any problems with them.

the idea behind the disel engoine filter is that i holds more oil inside. so it increases the overall oil system capacity to about 4.5litres.
there fore the oil temperature should be maintained lower due to the fact there is now more oil capacity to absorb the same amount of heat the engine generagtes...

in my b3 16v sedan; i have not used it yet; but on the wife's 98 golf aba auto; it was a bitch to change...

Top intake gasket, valve cover gasket, removed a busted bolt to the valve cover gasket, changed spark plugs and now it won't run! WTF!
