I removed the little bung on the bottom and never had a problem in my Syncro.

The G60 filter is a waste of money, it's identical to the 4-cylinder filters except for the nut on the bottom.

Fram is absolute junk and should not be used in any vehicle. The OEM Mahle/Mann filters are like $5. The diesel filter is larger so total oil capacity is raised, and it filters better. The Fram filters do not have the proper pressure valves in them.

this is very true. I only have one on my car because it was bought for me when I was out of work. Beggers can't be choosers ya know. I have an oem one waiting to be put on. I didn't know about the diesel filter that's good to know.

ABS-less MC is in the ultrasonic tank, brake booster is fully prepped and painted, the stainless steel soft lines have arrived, and MK4 calipers are awaiting paint.

    Brake upgrades very soon!

Taped up a heater hose that fell into my fan. It didn't cut through it but it did shave a lil off. so I put some hose tape on for now.

Started working on blueprints today, there are no on the internet for some reason.
And the fourth adjustment to the center console finally did the job.

FS: AAA VR6 thermostat cover, B4 lower C-pillar plastic trim

VW DIYs and guides, color codes, DTC/P-codes

Nope... this is the closest to high-res that I can come up with:
FS: AAA VR6 thermostat cover, B4 lower C-pillar plastic trim

VW DIYs and guides, color codes, DTC/P-codes

    Got mad compliments on it.

Picked up a girl for a date. She says sexy car right away

Then she asks what kind it is. Volkswagen. "its really fast"

Needless to say, I threw her a bone.

Did you really trick her into believing that your car was fast?

Gave her a bath for the first time after she sat for 2yrs. It took 3hrs 2 rags and a lot of water. The soap suds were a grayish green when I was done. Drove her home and realized my alternater needs to be replaced. Still need to give her another light wash so I can wax her (ran out of time). Damn yellow pollen. That **** gets everywhere and didn't want to come off. It had started growing.

Tried to lube up my left rear regulator & even after I dumped a bunch of HHS in it, it still had this gawd-awful squeek goin' on. Time to start looking into a replacement. Have to check my parts car, then; who knows.

replaced radiator, replaced crackpipe, housing (all the plastics), thermostat (for the stock 87), cleaned and painted fan shroud and replaced the fans, flushed system. removed all the ac junk, including ac condenser (needed to mod radiator to sit properly).

Not today (more like last week actually) but I grabbed a fairly new main pump, pre-pump & injectors for the cool sum of $40.00. I love finding the packaging for parts in the trunk of a car at the local Pick-n-Pull. Even better was the fact that the main pump was sold by my store about a year ago. Just need to get off my butt & get it all installed.

Finished rebuilding the top half of the motor a few weeks ago, got it in the car and drove it for about five days before I got the infamous "tapping"! Thought it was the lifters so pulled the intake and valve cover and found a few loose cam retainer nuts. Guess that wasn't my problem, because after a nice little autobahn run, it got a lot worse. Guess I will be looking at rod/crank bearings.

Anyway, today I towed it from my buddies house to my work. Feel better about it sitting on base while I wait on parts from the states!

This is definetely a love/hate relationship!
Drive that **** like you stole it!!
