Painted the roof and quarter panels, deleted the roof rack bars. Also removed my kneebars and test-fitted B3 under-dash storage.

I can hook you up with a full manual belt swap for a decent price if you want me to. Let me know.

Washed and waxed it and tried to envision it with textured top bumpers cause i think im gonna have to do it. Paint is peeling on the rub strips and tops of the bumpers, i figure thats the easiest/cheapest fix.

If i got them resprayed i dont think it would match very well.

No **** which is why I sold it. Fixing regulators on a regular basis? Doors wont open or shut even after correctly replacing parts? Parts were costing more than my tuition, I just hope you keep your condescending attitude on the internet.

Have you ever had a MK3 before? Same issues only with more rust.
Volkswagens are like strippers, they only work when you throw money at them.

i love my passat, but i would trade my passat for a mk3. sorry to say it. the only reason i bought a passat was cause people are asking way too much for mk3's. Maybe i just feel that way cause i have a sedan. Wagons are so much sexier!

Not trying to be condescending to you, just mk3's. Had the worst experience over the past 2 years with mine. I bought mine from Evan at 42DD so it was well taken care of and it still broke on a monthly basis.

Back to German built cars.......I think I am in denial about my chains. But I am kinda anal so I could be hearing things that aren't there.

Watched my drivers side mirror glass fly off at 70mph this morning.

While I was salvaging the mirror I decided to do a little surgery on the stock lighting. 9004 harnesses off an Audi 80. DIY Plug & play for under $10 and a hour of my time.

Scored a pair of gently used Hella e-codes with clear corners on eBay.de for about $85 shipped, pretty sweet deal I guess. Seller was cool, even though it says doesn't ship to the US I sent him an email and got a response of no problem. Figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

Pulled my control arm yesterday. Went to the junk yard but couldn't get one out because the oil pan and automatic transmission are in the way, so I ordered one from a member on here.

Fuse 21 (25amp) 2nd from end on the right of the fuse panel. It also shorted out your interior lights, trip meter, truck button, power locks, etc... Mine was grounded due to the wires going to my trunk button. They had gotten caught in my ebrake handle. Quick fix, but hell to diagnose. I just happened to park the car in the garage and when I went to set my ebrake, I actually saw the spark from the fuse blowing under my dash. I had done it a million times before and just kept replacing the fuse. Luckily is was dark enough in the garage to see the spark. Good luck!

found these on craigslist: 17" BBS Madras off of a B5.5 Passat W8. got some 5x100 to 5x112 adapters, had them sandblasted and did a little bondo rehab, sanded, primed and painted. should go on later this week!
