I got the exhaust rattle fixed and found out where exactly my exhaust is leaking from. It's not a pleasant place.

    I also changed the oil.

Tried fixing the lid of the center console which was broken when I bought the car. Used some CRAZY industrial glue, but no luck. Guess I'm heading to the wreckers tomorrow

What does yours do? is the lid supposed to stay open when you lift them, mine doesn't and I dont know anybody else with a b4.

Are you talking about the lid the my center console armrest?
Mine doesn't stay up when lifted/opened too.
Was broken off of the hinges when I got it, used tiny screws and JB weld.
Still holding just fine years later

Every B4 i've seen in the junkyard has some sort of combination of broken lid, cupholder, and/or ashtray.

Add leaks and squeaks to that, and you get what VW calls "standard features" for the car

Wow I'm lucky I got one in good shape. Granted it didn't have cupholders and I cut out the ashtray to install gauges but the armrest (if anyone here has ever used it as an actual armrest...) is solid.

Found out i busted a strut bearing with my bump stop riding suspension and found a screw in my front tire, no leaks so far! Also lubed up my sunroof track and cable for a slightly faster and quieter operation. Top it off with some lithium grease in the locks and i have a slightly productive hour of fixing
