Is this a question regarding what I did? If so, there is no need to mask the inside of the lenses where the chrome is. I did it with a paintbrush so I could have more control and so I wouldn't have to mask that stuff cause it does peel like crazy.

Why did you HAVE to? B4 headlights are similar set-up and I didn't mask, just hand painted. You have a case of the yips that prevents you from painting by hand?

Ugh, even though while cleaning the lenses some pealed off I didn't think twice about putting tape on them, luckily I pealed a piece back and noticed what I did before I taped it all off. I ended up making a template from lawn bags and painters tape and laying it on top. Oh well, it still came out decent even though theres spots of orange and small runs everywhere. When I get home I think I'm gunna use whats left of my nightshades and lay a single coat down to darken it up some more.

Mine are just plastic sadly, but if you polish the plastic well enough and throw in some good bulbs (I got silver stars or what ever they're called) I don't see the need to get ecodes.

to that. Beam pattern alone is where it's at. US beam pattern SUX. I'm gettin 3000K HID bulbs for my US spec lights to go in for the winter, and I'm sure they still won't look as good as my E-Codes

Well, thanks. I really never thought of myself as GOD... Just the BOSS. My experience with these lights is overall a good one. The fit is OEM. You will need a EURO connector to make the connection at the lights. They use H3 Bulbs for both high an low beam. I use a Xenon converted H3 style bulb for the low beam, standard H3 for the high. Nightime pics would be worthless, because all youll see are the projectors head on. But hears a pic of the pattern

and a chrome pic.

I like the black much better...

I just finished tinting one of my headlights. I think I may have put a little too much on though. I haven't done the other one because I want to see how good the light output is beforehand. And so just incase it isn't good enough I don't die on my way to work.

It doesn't look to good here, so I may be sanding tomorrow....

Did you spray on th eoutside with VHT or something. If you did, get some aircraft paint remover, and use that to remove the black, no sanding required.

Definetely bad... I had my old US-spec headlights tinted,
light output sucked big time. If you decide to keep them,
at least upgrade the wiring to them with relays.

I definitely love the look of them, but I am afraid of the light output. It looks like A2B4guy isn't making new harnesses currently so I think the paint is gunna go tomorrow afternoon. at least it looked sweet overnight.

BTW, I think this is the most active I've seen the PAOM the entire time I've been here.

Luis made me one of the first kits. It is awesome. The red backlight is a led strip that I made my self, but I wanna change it to white, just havent gotten to it.. Or maybe Luis just doesnt like you.

I am sorry I dont like the look of your blacked lenses. First it is not safe, and second it is VERY ILLEGAL... not that Ecode's or my light are DOT legal either. But yours have even surpassed that point.

To each his own on the looks, but I feel ya on the safety. Thats why it goes when I get home from work tomorrow. On the point of legality, I don't really worry about it, people drive around here with just a single light, if that sometimes.

Tint the insides of the housings and leave the lenses alone. It won't look as dark, but it definitely is a nice budget way to get cooler looking lights while remaining safe.

I tinted my spare fogs dark as hell with VHT, but I don't plan on using them, plus with the HIDs, the fog lights really do nothing because they are nowhere near as bright. Most of the time I can barely tell I have my fogs on. I can't wait to have the yellow HIDs. Still waiting on my dummies to come in, will tint them to match, then install all my new front lights and bra. The whole front end will look black. Totally changing the look of the front of my car for less than $50.

replaced, motor mount, cracked motor mount bracker, and noticed that 2 of the 4 bolts on the crossmember were busted took that out. had it welded and put it all back together

well this was yesterday. . that counts

took my headlights off and changed them somehow for the eleventh time since saturday....

worked on the wifes B3 wagon and got it to start finally. it'll idle and thats it. replaced the distributor with a unit off my 1.8l 16v and it at least runs. wont rev up but it runs.
