Hey you guys,I have just found this forum on my search for people actually apreciating the old VW Buses. Well we have one of the original 5-10 (noone actually knows how many still exist) Porsche/VW B32 buses, there are only around 5 existing on the world. We have maintained it well all the years and it is in top condition. But whatsoever, we moved from Germany to Switzerland and importing the car is too expensive since we do not really need it anymore either.
So basically, we want to sell it. Are there people interested or can you recommend me car trading protals specialized on "youngtimers" and rare cars like this?
And of course an opened discussion is welcome as well, here some details:Original Porsche B32. Smalles Serie N°03 of 05.
6 Single seats and one emergency seat. Second row is turnable. Complete leather equipment inclusive table and cupboards.
Technic: Carrera 3,2 litre 231 PS, 5 gears.
It's amazing how fast this car can turn for its seize.
We re equipped with 17'' Wheels, rims and brakes.Greets,
Max

Very nice, I think Vanagon-S will be along shortly to scoop this up.What year is it, how much are you asking for it and where is the bus located?
#4
too far to make it worthwhile. I think he's in Germany

You could try http://www.thesamba.com.

I've heard about this edition of Vanagon, but have never seen a pic. That just may be the coolest T3 ever posted here.

What price do you have in mind ?
#12
Around 70.000 Euros. We have several offers around 50 grands already, but that's just not enough for such a rare car in top condition.
#13
Do you have a website with more pictures?I doubt anybody in the U.S. is going to spend $95,000 on a bus (+ shipping).
#14
70,000 euros!![]()
cheaper to build my own!

All right ... 70.000 euros is also too expensive for me!Think I will buy a Porsche Cayman instead and mount my Supercharged WBX in the bus

Now that's a matter of oppinion. Because those pics sure don't show a top condition Vanagon to me. The body looks a little dirty & rough & the carpet looks like you held a mud wrestlling tourney on it. So apparently it's been treated just like any other car form the looks of it

From the little that I know about the B32, Porsche only produced 11. Suposedly 2 of those went to Champion Porsche in Florida. Who knows where they are now.Claer can build you a Porsche powered T3 aka "CT3" for about 80,000 euros. Only difference would be that you'll get a more modern Porsche engine mated to either a tiptronic 5 spd, or a manual 6 spd G50. The B32 will come with the 3.2 Carrera engine mated to a 915 gearbox... Brakes, on the Claer you'll get 993TT, on the B32 standard 2 piston 911SC calipers.
Of course you can claim to have 1 out of 11 actual Porsche built T3's, but, I think most people want to drive it, rather than collect.
There has to be a Porsche guy out there that wants to turn the Porsche parade upside down by showing up in a B32.
I hope you find him! Good luck with the sale.

I'm with Eric. The value of the vehicle is not necessarily in what stands before you know, but the cache that it provides to the buyer. One of only 11 T3 built in conjunction with Porsche is certainly something to crow about, despite the age of the conversion.I also agree that a Claer-built (or Didier-built) T3 will bring more pleasure and less stress. If you kill it while tearing up the back roads, you won't garrote yourself...

Not to mention, this B32 isn't in original condition. The 17" wheels weren't original, and a brake upgrade devalue a true "top condition" rare car.I think this van at that price would appeal more to Porsche guys. I'd head over to http://www.rennlist.com
Good luck.

I tottaly agree with this. I mean yeah it is rare and most of us would like to have it in our garages but for a smaller price.

Interesting. Just stumbled across this post. Had a conversation with a tech at the local Porsche dealer, Bill Yates in San Juan Capistrano. They had a customer import a vanagon with a Porsche motor and said it had the same emblem as the my grey market 914-6 with out the 914-6 on it. I thought they were full of it. Here it is though. Bummer I missed it because that B32 is prolly in someones garage here in SoCal. This is the only mini van I'd ever own.
here is a German B32 Manual: http://www.vwpix.org/zip/1984_08_Porsche_B32.zip
Here's pics of the test mule driven by Peter Shultz
Gawd I miss that car!!
