Thread: 2 tone paint, pic request

    1. 07-31-2007 12:04 PM #1
I am considering two toning my Rado. Every Rado I've seen thus far with two tone paint has the two tone starting following the hood line. I would want some opinions on this. I'm not sure what would look better because I have yet to see it done. But if a Rado had two toning starting along the body line, how would it look? Does anyone have two tone done following the body line so I can see it? Plus what do people think about those 2 types of schemes?

this is mine. be ready for everyone to tell you not to do it though.

yours looks really good though. i've seen a few following this same color scheme, and it didn't look this good. i think i saw one that had the hood red, and just the roof was black, and that didn't look good i.m.o.
i was actually thinking of two toning my corrado as well. but instead of red and black, i was thinking of having red and silver. haven't decided yet though.
      looking good!

NICE!! I love that look. I jus never really dug the two tone where the hood set the split. I think all of those examples looks great. I have the Alpine white G60 and now I am going to two tone it with Black over the top. I was reading an issue of Eurotuner and a girl had taken a golf, two toned it, and used silver leaf to cover the split. Looked AMAZING!! So my scheme will be very similar. Thanks a bunch guys. Keep those two tone pix coming. I want to see them.

The last two are gross. The little frilly checkered flags ruin the whole car. I like the bumper on the last one though, but the red and black corrado look the best IMO

I don't like the 2 tone look personally...but if you can pull it off and it look professional, then more power to you. Anyone try it from the front bumper line all the way down.

Here's mine after I got it repainted recently. Just wanted something a little different than the boring factory green... but definitely not the hassle of a full color change! And as far as the dividing point... I think if u look at the Corrado body-line, it's almost a no-brainer

this is all I get? C'mon guys, I know there are more two toners out there. GIMMIE YER PIX!!

why people do paint the interior

OMG!! Who is the idiot that put spoked wheels on his C? Hey Essay, your wire cutters don't work on VW's!! That has to be the grossest thing I've ever seen. I kind of like the painted interior, different color would've been better. I am more of a "cover it in fabric" type person myself, or carbon fiber.
