found a huge leak in the rocco and fixed it. feel free to skip ahead to get right to the point.

OK. so today I took a few hours to really scrub away and pressure wash the grime in my engine bay. it wasn't a truly dirty bay, but for a "show car" it was sub par so I cleaned it up.

I had a lot of water in my rain tray and I cleaned out the debris in the drain holes and got them flowing freely. I kept an eye on my floor mats for water and found none so I thought I was all set.

Until hours later when I got into passenger side and stepped down.

    SQUISH

so the passenger floor is completely soaked and I am trying to figure out where it is coming from. turns out that my airbox filled up with water and it was leaking out of the bottom of it.
I discovered that the airbox/ac unit has a drain tube in the bottom that lets the condensation and rain water run right out through the bottom of the car beside the exhaust.

mine was totally clogged. thankfully enough, access to the plug was by one screw holding a cover over it, and I was able to use a vac to suck out the debris and get it flowing right again.

I had about a gallon of water in my air box. no joke. as soon as I pulled off the hose water started running out of the hole into the carpet like a faucet.

I stuck the vac nozzle right up to the drain on the box and sucked out the water. took about 5 minutes of vacuuming to get it to stop running.

heres a pic of the short drain hose that was full of bugs, leaves, dirt, etc.

and another of the hose and drain hole for reference.

can we get this added to the FAQ?

Did you make sure that the drain hose was unclogged at the the other end, near the exhaust?

yes I did. I hooked the vac up to it from the inside, and creached under the car and found the other end and cleared it up. the trouble is that it isnt just an ordinary hose. it has a funny end in it. really stupid design. guaranteed to clog eventually.
