This car is epic. BUT, there are just too many things that will go wrong with it. It will be a great car to own, but not to keep. I still want a 997.2 RS more as a keeper.

If I had the dollars, I'd be at the Porsche shop down the road tomorrow. It is going to be an epic car.
Unfortunately, there are a few things to arrange before I will trouble the Porsche dealer![]()

Porsche Club Queensland Concours was on Sunday the 16th at Ormiston House and Sheldon Arkinsall from the club took the images in THIS GALLERY
The couple below I took on my phone,
Peter Harburg had his Carrera GT out which was a nice surprise, I think the yellow GT3 won best in show and the 64 356 was easily a 100 point perfect example having just been a bare shell restoration by Wolfgang and his team at Sleeping Beauties here in Brisbane that would have easily been a 100K plus job.
I was lucky enough to take out 2nd place in the 911, 930 class missing out on first to a stunning example of a perfect stock 930 Turbo, not a bad result for a hot rod 911 plus I scored a bonus microfibre wash mitt.
The last two images are from Sheldon's Gallery on the Porsche club site.
Carrera GT of Peter Harburg
What a nice arse!
Best in Show (I think it was this car)
September 64 356 just restored and my best in show despite the colour
My 911 second in class despite all the modifications (not sure how well this went down with the purists)

Haha it is sort of cool in it's own way Robbo! How is the GP? Do you mind giving a small review? Very keen to know.

GP is great. I've been driving it as a daily driver for a couple of weeks to run it in. Put 1500km on it and took it to the track today for the first time.
Suspension is very stiff, but good. Lateral grip in the car on the kumhos is amazing. The brakes are awsome, almost too strong. On the track it proved very capable and fun. The engine seems marginally stronger than the stock ones.
The car is not really a daily driver though. Noisy (due to no rear seat and the kumhos), stiff, touchy brakes, no cruise control, very average stereo and most importantly, no satnav
As a fun little weekend car and occasional daily driver it is good though. Mine is now off in a couple of weeks to get a cage etc
