    Shuddup all of you.

Anyway, I have realised that nothing out there interest me right now, so I really don't want to buy anything. Maybe when the Cayman comes out I will be interested, or the next GT3...

I'm reasonably sure it's not the one opposite the museum. It looked different.

Carrera GT was good. Lasting impressions; steering superb, engine dynamics like a big superbike, clutch from a F2.

  8. 04-22-2012 09:00 AM #5714
did you find clutch pretty hard to modulate? it's got a really lwfw, i think it's made of magnesium?
engine must be fantastic though. good luck to you, nice experience to have.

I have driven a couple of race cars with really small dia clutches, and in a race car that's not issue. In is overkill for a road car imo though. It was driveable, but limited the use of the car. Car only had ~300km on it though (the owner is afraid of it...... ) so it might not have been bedded properly.

yep, you're correct again, just looked it up, it's flywheel is only 169mm in diameter.
knew it was something different. my clutch is ceramic too, btw.

Guys old polo GTI had ceramic clutch. Bite point is very small, so it makes town driving more difficult. Forget peak hour traffic I guess. On a race car it would not be an issue though.

can't understand why somebody wants to save the car for the next owner.
if you got the money, why not put 300,000 kays on it, then throw it away?
it would be a hell of a lot more pleasurable than 500kms and then get your money back without interest..

you get used to it. suspensions and exhaust are more of a concern.

In this instance, it was not about "saving" the car. The owner is a muppet with too much cash, and no real interest in cars. His driving experience is largely limited to sitting in the back seat of an S class.

Why isn't anyone or Ausmotive talking about Cayenne GTS? I think it is a great family hauler. Having said that, Porsche prices makes the X5M and ML63 look good in comparison, given the other two Germans are much faster for the same money...

If I didn't have my Spyder I would have actually! It's rather nice. But the Spyder is amazing. I'm not willing to give it up yet. Also, it's OllieWAY's fav.

Well there you go, I've always liked Hyundais! In fact lately I have been thinking about getting the Volester. What do I do, call them up and say put it on the credit card and send to me? Is that how you buy Hyundais?

Spend $120* to become a Carlton member and then get $1000 off your new Hyundai purchase. Split the $880 evenly with Liam.

*You may be able to get a lower rate membership fee too and still get the discount, haven't looked into it.
