Fark! How much would that be worth? What a colour combo too.

he likes to dabble with old cars and the stock market...haha

yeah, the only issue he has with its condition are some of the door seals and how low the twin exhaust are (sometime becomes an issue with speed humps)

I just thought I would share my porsche relationships.
      Started with this 1979sc

      and turned it into this

then decided I needed a club car for track work and built this

then thought it needed more grip for racing so wide body

bought and sold this turbo over a weekend

this came up at the right price (1995 rscs)

it was too much fun for the road so it became my race car

I then got the chance to drive my mates cup car at Bathurst

then finally woke up to myself and bought a real car that is just as much fun to drive everyday.

Yes Porsches do get into your blood.

The car that no one wanted to sell. When it went through Gulson's Dad was so tempted to trade his TT for it. Love the colour and Ruf wheels.

Hmm, I've seen that car before, probably in that workshop. That Detomaso looks familiar as well. Got to love the character of the workshop as well. It "feels" like it should have exotics getting worked on there. Unlike another panel shop I can think of.

Yes I did get to race that year at Bathurst and what a buzz. Only problem was 6 lap races are just too short.
Gulsons have the car back at the moment. It was traded back on a black 993 cab.
The work shop owner was a good friend and partner in most of my car projects, unfortunately he passed away last year.

      one of my favourites....
how could you trade it in for a cabrio?
isn't that deemed to be sacriledge?

Looks like a 911CSRS... I think he said it was Jim Richards old car? Or maybe I am getting that confused with one someone else on here was going to buy.

    15. 09-05-2007 10:52 PM #155
It's a 1995 993 RSCS only 200 built world wide. Direct from factory with no rear seats or trim and only one sunvisor to save weight. I bought the car from Bob Forbes who kept it as a spare while his son Rodney was racing Porsche Cup in about 1997.
I didn't trade it on a cab. The guy I sold the 911sc to traded that in on a black 993 cab so it is back at Gulsons again.

      ahhh yes..
      now i remember.
i remember one of the local rags had a test between the rscs,
      m3r and rx-7sp...
lovely car, though i think if you left it as a road car, it would
be worth a tonne of money now/soon.
anyway, you had fun, and drove it in it's natural habitat,
      and THAT is priceless.

Yeah, he didnt pick up that the car was a CSRS right from the start... even I knew that!

Did you know that he was also one of the founding fathers of the original VW Beetle... and received royalities from every single one made!

It said it was the first 930 concept car on the window (it was in the Targa Tassie tent at the PI historics along with Eric Bana's XB coupe race car)... but I read somewhere that it was a 911 RSR... not 100% sure. Information is a bit cloudy.

It was recently sold at the Classic Throttle shop.

This is the kinda thing I like!

3.9lt RSR replica in Mexico blue... mmmm! How much fun would that be!?!

    33. 09-07-2007 05:28 AM #173
I love the 935 moby dick, on full boost it had close to 900 hp.

and of course the 959 in road or rally.

but then, I'd really be hapy with a 67 911R in white thanks.

Unless I've read dodgy info, not from wiki, this is the prototype RSR turbo/930. Not sure how it wound up in Australia, apparently there are a number of special Porsches here.

That was basically what it said on the window I remember reading 930 Turbo prototype. The classic throttle shop lists this car as a 911 RSR... sold. I think they had like $400,000 on it!

      It was beautiful?

No guess on the hisotry of the other silver car I posted with the modified roofline???
