I don't think so. We had it on tap and I wouldn't expect it to ever be bottled.I'll have to ask Vinny next time he's in town. I imagine he'll be here for the World Beer Cup/Craft Brewers Conference in April.

Checked my sources, Elder is bottled this year and tentative plans to bottle younger next year:

Mighty Arrow from New Belgium is pretty good. I'm not sure if they're distributing widely yet but living 10 minutes from the brewery has it's advantages.

Not sure if it's been mentioned here yet or not. (didn't read entire thread)
but the most recent new beer I've had is Bell's Hopslam. This stuff is just incredible.
I think I smelled it for 10 minutes before I even drank it. heh.I pretty much like everything Bell's makes though.

Agree, Bigfoot is tasty this year. I had a sip of some 2002 BF a few weeks back. Awesome to see how this stuff changes.Anyways, had Goose Island's Imp IPA which was very nice and worth checking out if you see it around.

I have Cuvee Rene and Jolly Pumpkin La Roja for the first time this past weekend. Been on a brett kick as of late.
Also picked up some kristalweissen made by local Saint Arnolds (Texas Wheat). Its really nice to pick up a flavorful beer that only has 3.9%. Sometimes I forget what its like to drink a pint and not feel the buzz. Refreshing!

seriously though...I can't imagine a better beer in this style...and I've had a bunch over the years, from all over.
Every once in awhile you get a beer that really grabs you in the twig and berries...hopslam is one of those beersbig, balanced and beautiful ....
I am a picky bastard when it comes to big beers too...big certainly doesn't always = good.

Have you tried nugget nectar yet? Leatherlips? Both plinys? Stone Ruination? F*ck, stone 11th was awesome as well. Greenflash's DIPA blew me away.
With that said, National IPA Championship starts tomorrow... I have Alesmith vs Stone in the finals.

really? I think stone's IPA is disgusting and the Alesmith's is good, but it won a medal at GABF in 97 (I think it was when Skip still owned the place) and I don't think has medaled since.
If Matt at Firestone made IPA's, I'd bet he could take the win, but I havent ever seen an IPA from firestone.
I could pick my favorite, but I don't know how close it'd be to the standard IPA definition these days with them changing all the time.
If I had to pick one I'd probably go with Blind Pig

Some of the best IPAs I've had aren't even on there..except Bells' two hearted...which is one of the best most consistent beers anywhere..tap or bottle...
Kind of like the GABF...most of the good beers I know never step foot in competition.
