Quite a few actually. Whole Foods and New Seasons Markets both have a good craft beer section.

The Octoberfest Sam Adams is the latest new beer I've tried. Pretty decent.

You totally bought their advertising campaign for that beer hook, line and sinker. They build the beer up so much in their promotion of it and make everyone think that it takes a real man to actually be able to drink it.

In reality AB is crap and is only popular because oif the marketing the beer gets

Many people would have to disagree with you. In fact, I found it to be a very complex beer myself. Your opinion on their marketing scheme is spot on, but it isn't a lie by any means. This is a very good strong ale.

We can agree to disagree on this. In my opinion, nearly ALL Stone products are crap and none of them rate anywhere near the top of "best beers brewed in San Diego" list.

The way I approach them is that if given a list of a certain style of beers brewed in/near san diego, the stone version would not rank near the top.

Now, if you don't live near San Diego, which is a great beer town imo, then sure the stone beers you have access to may be a great representative of west coast beers.

If stone IPA/Pale Ale/Arrogant Bastard are the only things on tap, chances are I'm not going to go there very often and if I do end up at a place with a tap list like that, I'm probably going to switch to liquor instead.

If someone handed me a stone pale/IPA/AB, sure I'd drink it, just like I would if someone handed me a coors light or budweiser, but none of them are things I'd choose to drink.

Im no beer specialist by any means, but I've tried alot of beer, and most of it, i'll have to admit, was remarkably boring and just as easy to forget as it is to open the bottle. With that said, I'll drink my arrogant bastard and enjoy it. If you've got something better and just as robust, by all means, send me a bottle, and i'll tell you my thoughts. I've never seen the marketing or ad campaign for arrogant bastard, in fact, someone was at the liqor store and asked me if i wanted a beer and i got it as a joke. Turned out to be good stuff.

If you can get your hands on their Unplugged Bourbon Barrel Bock I must tell you to DO IT NOW. It was such a great beer.

Last night I had a New Belgium Abbey and it was quite good for something I can pick up @ the local grocery store for $5.00 on special.

lol, that's kind of funny because we'll occasionally get kegs of '05 and 06 oaked AB (granted it's older than what's available in the bottle) and that stuff isnt nearly as bad as regular AB. I've never had fresh oaked AB though

I have heard great things about Dogfish brews. Too bad I'm here in the midwest and they never make it out here.

Wish you could order them from the source and have them sent out here. They allow winerys to ship -- why not microbrewers, eh?

Trades are worked out over http://www.ratebeer.com that ship all the time. As long as you don't sell them its OK. I'm wanting to try one but they aren't in season yet from the people I've talked to.

PS. If they break most of the time a claim cannot be granted.

Had a Great Lakes Blackout Stout last night. Nice imperial stout... Not as good as Saint Arnolds Divine Reserve 5, but more sessionable.

Spaten Oktoberfest. Never had it before, and it was very tasty. It's really smooth and pairs well with most foods.
