yea i got 3 of them drank 1 right away and i'll drink one in 6 months and then the 12 moths or the date on the bottle for the last one. thats what i do with all deschutes reserve series

Is the Abyss as good as I've heard? My XXI is due to be drunk on Oct. 17th, however I'm supposed to have my little girl born on Nov. 20th so I might hold off and have it as my celebratory drink.

i want this, mainly because im a big fan of the show.

Show? What the heck, are they pulling some McDonald's garbage and doing show tie-ins? That's crazy. I just thought it was a goofy name.

In Portland some Amnesia (forgot the name, but was a double red of some kind)

I went to Amnesia for the first time this last Wednesday. I had the Desolation IPA and the Dusty Trail Pale Ale. I didn't notice a Double Red (I could hardly read the board, it was so dark in there!), I would have gotten that. The beer isn't the best I've had, but the Bratwurst are great!

You forgot the name of the Amnesia beer. How convenient....
I'm enjoying my 2nd Stone Juxtaposition black pilsner. Very unique. Roastey almost porter type flavor, thick bodied and super citrusy hop flavor. not your average pilsner. I wish my pallet was moe refined so i could describe this better.

I had some Kewenaw Brewing Co. Pick Axe Blonde Ale at a gentleman's club on friday. It was on special for $3.00 a can. A steal at a "dance club" IMHO. It was pretty tasty

Well the Mammoth Beer Festival was AWESOME, I kinda forgot/lost track of what I had after away, 5 hours of unlimited beer drinking will do that to you!
Some that I did remember:
Lagunitas - Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale (REALLY GOOD!), Hop Stoopid Ale (Always good), Lucky 13 Ale (Best of the 3, hands down).
Russian River - Pliny the Elder (Always a solid beer), Temptation (Little to bitter, but gets better and better), Consecration (WOW! Little bitter at first, but gets better and better).
Anderson Valley - 20th Anniversary Imperial IPA (I LOVE this, done!), Summer Solstice (Good Summer Brew).
Firestone - Union Jack (A Solid IPA), Double Jack (An AWESOME Double IPA)
Mammoth Brewing - 395 IPA (Reminds me of DFH 90min, really good)
Alaskan Brewing - IPA (Decent, not amazing)
Stone Brewing - AB (Had it, nothing new), Ruination (Had it, good but nothing new). Hit them kinda late... Missed the good stuff.
Huntington Beach Beer Company - Some Ale that was run through some Hops before being drafted (Really good!).
Sierra Nevada - Dunkel-Weizen of some kind (Really good)
Pizza Port - Shark Bite (Had it... But still good)
Green Flash - Hop Head Red (Had it before, but love it!)
That's what I can remember and what stands out the most from the event... of the 70 +/- breweries I hit up about half of them I'd say.

I'm not a RedHook fan but I had a really good summer brew from them. My brother brought over their Sunrye Summer Ale to my parents house. Luckily he raided the liquor cabinet and I decided to partake in his 6-pak of Rye goodness. I have never really spent time with a lot of different summers selections before but I'm going to have to look into this come next year and see what is out there.

Try the Maximus. You will likey!! Lagunitas IPA is different than most west coast IPA's. Good though.

How would you classify Lagunitas IPA, if not as a west coast IPA
BTW found out that they now use extract in the Lagunitas IPA... the abv used to be higher

extract? f-that. I'll brew it myself if I want to drink an extract brew.

I think its got to be all about this....

Tokyo* by BrewDog.
18.2% ABV!!!
Havent tried it yet as im not sure wether its going to get sold because its getting slated for being so strong, and at £9.99 per bottle its abit pricey.

NOT FAIR! I saw a video with James from Brewdog and they kept trying to tell him that he was the reason for the decline of civilization or something. Hello?!?! It's less alcohol than most Scotch!

I might be having a Brew Dog Paradox Imperial Stout tonight... Or I might try the Hitachino XH... But I also gotta see what's on draft tonight as well, seems to always be changing. I will for sure be buying a bottle of the Houblon Chouffe Dobbelen IPA, its an awesome Triple Belgian IPA!

I had another IPA I have never had this weekend. it was made by a small brewery in WI here, a friend says he knows the owners. It was pretty smooth yet still hoppy. I desired a bit more IBUs though.

Was in Manhattan last week, a a little bar with Dad for lunch, and saw this on tap. Local NYC area only, just delicious, along with an order of hot wings!
