That is a baby dust storm. Come out to clovis during one of our dust storms. You would hardly be able to see your car from where you were standing. No exaggeration.

This is true. Whenever a big dust storms comes through and I'm working I take my car into my shop. The wind gets ridiculous on base.

    Just ordered 42DD DP

Haha, ok...w/e you say buddy. In Jan I am going to do the 2.0L stroker kit + AEB ported/polished head

EDIT: You don't need a short shifter...trust me...keep that stock, just upgrade your clutch and call it a day. You will need that upgraded clutch soon now that you are chipped.

What do you guys think...$200 shipped for a ko3s with 44k miles, no shaft play...

  8. 10-02-2009 07:12 AM #4523
me personally, if id have to change a k03 i wouldnt put in another k03/k03s. k04 at the least....

  9. 10-02-2009 06:03 PM #4524
K04s are craptastic and are only a wee bit better than the k03s...and way more expensive. I am not upgrading my turbo because i WANT to, i am upgrading because I HAVE to...my **** is dying...

Thanks. YEah I had talked to that dude already, he got a local sale yesterday.

**** man...im getting tired of my car. The boost is being stupid because of that damn code for maximum charge pressure. I bought 10 ****in Diodes online for 4 bucks shipped. should be here this weekend, then ima install it, and clear the code and see if its fixed. I want my ****ing boost to be normal so i can start racing...stupid vw...i want to get rid of my cobalt and buy an STi i think.

Both of ours are acting up. That code is back on mine again. I'm going to put the vac chamber back on and see if that does anything after I delete the code. If its not that then it could be an injector problem

    doubt its an injector issue..

Tour was out-of-control, it wasnt as many people as last semester but damn it was just crazy.

People were definitely more drunk and stupid than ever before, could not get ANYONE to stop at intersections. Get like 5 people to stop, then motion the cars to go and then BAM some idiot would fly by making the car SLAM on their brakes and then not trust us and just sit there.

And yes tasered, one of the stops was the park on flint for some reason... so the cops took advantage of the fact you cant drink in those parks, and showed up with like 4 pattywagons and 6 cop cars yelling at everyone to go home.

Apparently they saw that guy was obliterated and asked him tog et up on the grass and out of the street and he didnt comply, then failed to identify, and then walked away while they were still trying to talk to him. So he got tackled, and tased. There is a video on youtube of it.

haha yeap, I did the tour as well, had a blast!
Also I don't think the stop at the park was supposed to be a stop. But anyway the cops said to go into the park and get out of the street. I heard that's why they tasered that kid, because he wouldn't get out of the street.

    and I love this car

Eric what do you think about those Fk AK coilovers for $349?
    http://www.ecstuning.com/Volks...10626/

I'm still set on Konis if I can find some for a decent price. I want GLI tails as well. Its just that I still have to do my timing belt, and I think thats probably more important so my car doesn't blow up.

Diodes are to keep me from overboosting... I figured out what MY problem is with my code...

    Maximum Charge Limit Exceeded...

It's not that I am overboosting, it is that I am spooling up too fast. At XXXX RPM your ECU has a requested boost of X, well since i've added the FMIC and WMI + Advanced timing, I am spooling up too fast and passing the requested boost @ that RPM. So because of that, it is throwing that code and opening the wastegate.

  31. 10-06-2009 11:05 AM #4546
hmm i hvant been keeping up but thats real cheap. I dont know too much about the quality but 350s cheap as hell.

Id say go for it if your going to install them yourself but just be ready to do another set at some point.

What kind of warranty is on them?

I don't want to buy coils with a plan of getting better ones later on, that's why I'd kind of rather do the Konis once. I'll have Ben install them. It says the FK's have a 1 year warranty.

1- Why are those FK's so cheap? I installed JOM coils on my buddies GTI and they were pretty damn good... I think he paid $400 shipped, and they went LOW as ****, and were not bouncy at all. Good deal for sure!

2- I definitely need to do my timing belt stuff. I plan on ordering the t-belt kit from ecs pretty soon here. I'm thinking about doing the pulleys while i am in there...not 100% sure yet.

  34. 10-06-2009 11:16 AM #4549
IMO i would save for something nicer, but thats just me.

alot of the cheap coils can be a bit bouncy due to poor rebounding and no ability to adjust them.
