that's what makes it fun. You don't have to shave everything to get the effect. Look at my bay, i didn't shave anything & i still managed to have a clean bay.

Haven't you heard? That's such a waste of time and so half assed.

I wanna see full bay shots of your car. Seems like you did what I originally wanted to do, but ended up doing more and more and more each time I change something.

You can post them here, or PM me.

      Sure...

I shaved nothing. Just thinned out the harness & rerouted it. On my old Coupe, i did the same thing. I started out wanting to clean the bay & ended up fully shaving it. I learned my lesson this time around. I just cleaned & painted the bay. I'm very happy with finished product.

Whats so funny? that his car isn't the same as every single "cool" car on here? If you're talking about that red bay i take it? it looks awesome if thats not what you're referring to ignore my post.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to shave the huge hole where the evap canister used to sit? I'm going for the "half shaved" look and don't want to just cover everything up on the frame rails with a sheet of steel.

Cardboard template and cut out some steel and weld it in? Seems the most logical to me anyhow... 'Tis my plan for cleaning that area up. And making a reverse template for the battery tray side to keep it symmetrical.

Maybe I should have been more specific...the hole and surrounding area around said hole is not flat or even in any way shape or form. I didn't know if everyone just cuts around the hole till it's even enough or if they try to bend the metal going in to match the contours. I've got metal cut out to fill all the other holes except that one and it's got me stuck.

I figured "bend to shape" went without saying, sorry.

It takes a little while to actually bend up that piece and get it to fit right. No one can really help you unless they make the piece for you. You just kinda gotta do it. Don't use super thick metal. Use something that's easily bendable by hand.
