So just because I wanted to keep my a/c and my heat, It's half assed?
I shaved nothing. Just thinned out the harness & rerouted it. On my old Coupe, i did the same thing. I started out wanting to clean the bay & ended up fully shaving it. I learned my lesson this time around. I just cleaned & painted the bay. I'm very happy with finished product.
Maybe I should have been more specific...the hole and surrounding area around said hole is not flat or even in any way shape or form. I didn't know if everyone just cuts around the hole till it's even enough or if they try to bend the metal going in to match the contours. I've got metal cut out to fill all the other holes except that one and it's got me stuck.
It takes a little while to actually bend up that piece and get it to fit right. No one can really help you unless they make the piece for you. You just kinda gotta do it. Don't use super thick metal. Use something that's easily bendable by hand.
