I would just go gt35/40r and call it a day. Full boost at 3400-3500, and pulls like a rape date to redline... I love my BW, the only complaint is just that it's a slight bit laggy. I'm not getting full boost until 4100, but then again i'm not breaking driveline parts either.

Not trying to spend that kinda dought. I could get the S200 for $300. My next choice is a GT45r (.70/115 a/r). Third choice is a T04 (.70/.83 a/r P trim) I want it to be a bit laggy just for those reasons.

4100 isn't bad. That what i want mine to kick in. Thats perfect for off boost cruising.

Im trying to keep this build budget to a min. My goal is to have Turbo/mani/DP for under $800. Whats gonna kill me is the management. C2 has great stuff but very costly.

I would love to get my hands on a G40. Ditch the charger and slap a turbo on the FRONT of that thing!!!

just keep watching the forced induction classifieds. i got my mani and dp from there for about 250 and a turbo from craigslist for 100 (score!)

as far as management, same thing. I have seen a few chip/maf/injector setups for sale in there, just no 36# obd 1 dizzy kits.

a lot of the vr guys do not have them, they just use a inline filler off the top rad hose. with my aba swap i am running a rabbit rad with the filler neck on the side of it

Not any. They use in line fillers and run overflow into a catch can or on the ground. A gatorade bottle in this case:

im curious to what you have done with the heater/defrost system. my gti (89 with a vr) had the rain tray cut out by the P/O, witch leaves ya with inhaling motor all day. Im thinkin about moving the fresh side of the defrost intake to the fender so its not breathing from under the hood. anyhoo just wonderin if you relocated it.
