Well if you don't want to spend an arm and a leg then go with a set of sport shocks and springs. IE: bilstein / H&R. BUT, just keep saving and buy the damn coils. TRUST ME

I have KW's. Their a bit pricey, but they go LOW and have a lifetime warranty. Also, they have a lot of race proven r&d behind them so it's definitely worth the money in my opinion. If money really is an issue, than maybe look into vmaxx or fk. However with coilovers it's kind of a get what you pay for situation in my opinion. The thing is, a shock and spring combo can run you between $600-$800. Coils can be had for between $800-$1300. My best advice is to keep saving and buy what you really want. I went through 2 shock and spring combos before I got the KW's because I though I couldn't afford the drop I wanted. If only I was more patient LOL.

I've only lowered the car, upgraded the wheels, painted the engine covers body color (near impossible to match), and polished the intake. I haven't pulled the trigger on any other mods for two reasons: I own another VW that I love more....and I can never make my mind up on ways to not muck up the clean looks of the car.
