And APG.. OMG.. I haven't heard that name forever ... The Scirocco that they had up there was sooo clean.. Mercedes tails and all that ..

Sounds like we need an old school area BBQ ... Hint to Greg... I drive past your house all the time.. .:R looks good bro..
AJ's car was amazing. i drive by gregs house everytime i go down to the kingston area. in the summer the corrado and R32 are usually outside. i usually send a wave or a beep off to him

Club h2o did have a gathering at Shokan Audi, but it wasn't the official H2o Int'l. They hosted a gathering at their new showroom (now the Harley Davidson shop on Rt 28). It was a great looking shop, and had good times. As a bonus, that was the first and only time I've ever seen a shorty quattro in person.

I don't see myself selling any of the cars anytime soon. I'll tell ya though, unless they brought the new Scirocco over, VW's new line up is taking awhile to grow on me. If I was to buy a new car today, I'd still be in the VAG family, but I think Id be switching to Audi.

You're right man, AJ's car was sick. Do you remember Carmine, AJ's brother. I can't remember the details, but he had a Scirocco with some rare engine in it.

Wow, It is truly great to hear and see all these postings regarding H2O back in the day. I remember it was a truly awesome time and a super nice drive. I am digging up my old photos of the show. People were also much more laid back and in my opinion cooler, nicer and didn't hate everyone. We would all honk our horns when we saw a VW driving towards you on the on coming lane. I also remember Mom's Golf (the Ulitmate Sleeper). We were actually good buddies. We would hang together at the Club EuroBahn meets at the Sports Plus parking lot our in eastern Long Island. They were the only guys at Donaldson VW that really new their stuff. I also remember VWSport's VR6 New Beetle at the show that was all silver and had a flower made of steel in the flower vase on the dash. I also have my MK3 Golf toy with the H20 sticker and my plastic Crystal Diamond trophy. Good Ole Times!

I haven't been around here for very long and couldn't make it to H20 this year, but after reading through this thread, I say move it back to CT!

Sounds like you guys used to have fun without driving through the front of condos, smashing glass bottles, etc.

^ I hear you on that one! However as time goes on the mentality of the newer/younger crowd moves into the for-front of the scene, you get over the top antic of what you have seen this year!

Glad I decided not to go.

i see carmine alot, but honestly i havent seen his unicorn scirocco since the original APG days.

he had a Callaway scirocco though, so the story goes.
carmine does alot of HPDE/Auto-X events still, driving some mid 1992-95 honda civic coupe, with corrado BBS wheels on it

you know Dana got an .:R32 now? candy white MkV. jumped up 21 years!

      do you remember Josh Able?

russ from raderwerks ended up with his car, but i guess lost interest and sold it off near completion

      Thats right, a Callaway.

I ran into Dana for the first time in awhile last year over at the Quick Check In Saugerties. Does he still have his Mk2 or did he get rid of it to make room for the R? I remember when he first got that Mk2 and over the years occasionally seeing pix of it on Vortex.

Josh's name sure sounds familiar. What was he driving?

dana just got rid of the red 87 after like 12 years with it. kept most of it, in the middle of building a 88 golf, bare metal resto, syncro 1.8t. much of the red car is making its way onto this one, this is slated to be red as well.

josh had a blue mk2 golf vr6 with white wheels.

Seeing that flyer made me remember how great it was to deal with Lime Rock. All they wanted was $5 a head. They didn't want any money up front. They covered insurance, garbage removal, food vending, etc. Didn't matter if we had 100 or a 1000 show up. They were just looking forward to seeing how many VW and Audi's we could get to show up on a Sunday. Great group of people over at LRP to work with.
