^ I hear you on that one! However as time goes on the mentality of the newer/younger crowd moves into the for-front of the scene, you get over the top antic of what you have seen this year!

Glad I decided not to go.

he had a Callaway scirocco though, so the story goes.
carmine does alot of HPDE/Auto-X events still, driving some mid 1992-95 honda civic coupe, with corrado BBS wheels on it

you know Dana got an .:R32 now? candy white MkV. jumped up 21 years!

    do you remember Josh Able?

russ from raderwerks ended up with his car, but i guess lost interest and sold it off near completion

    Thats right, a Callaway.

I ran into Dana for the first time in awhile last year over at the Quick Check In Saugerties. Does he still have his Mk2 or did he get rid of it to make room for the R? I remember when he first got that Mk2 and over the years occasionally seeing pix of it on Vortex.

Josh's name sure sounds familiar. What was he driving?

dana just got rid of the red 87 after like 12 years with it. kept most of it, in the middle of building a 88 golf, bare metal resto, syncro 1.8t. much of the red car is making its way onto this one, this is slated to be red as well.

josh had a blue mk2 golf vr6 with white wheels.

Seeing that flyer made me remember how great it was to deal with Lime Rock. All they wanted was $5 a head. They didn't want any money up front. They covered insurance, garbage removal, food vending, etc. Didn't matter if we had 100 or a 1000 show up. They were just looking forward to seeing how many VW and Audi's we could get to show up on a Sunday. Great group of people over at LRP to work with.

I was there in 98, and just got back from the latest h20.

Talk about a world of difference.

It reminds me of a nopi nationals type scene now.

The scene is ruined.. And it's just because people like us old school dudes inspired so many youngsters.. The just make their cars like the movies and video games.

If it's not BBS RS's and bags it's ugly.. I call BS..

I'll take a clean mk2 all day.. On some type C's or some dime piece Zenders..

Those were the days for sure man, also anyone remember some dude had a vr awd rado black kinda real low key at the second event at Lime rock...
But yeah the shows nowadays focus on who's who and not on the actual people man...i've really been hard at getting the community to change as of late but you can't change people they have to want to change...mainly just keep the real and fake as a whole in one show is never gonna mix well like oil and water...
Well if Jay gets the land he was talking about and builds this complex it maybe still life for the h2oi we all knew and loved... the School was merely a last resort and really didn't werk as planned...o well will see what comes of next yr i will still go whether there is a show or not just to see my friends and have an epic time loving what i really love...

Just curious, and maybe you older guys can answer this, but why did Club H2O die? Seems like the idea still would work, and with the complex Jay is talking about, Club H2O would have a true home base as well as having a showground. Anyway, by the time I got the VW bug Club H2O was a memory, but the history still intrigues me, anyone have any info?

We should have an ol skool H2o reunion. I'd be up for it Location would really depend on how many people would show. Somewhere in the tristate area.

Wow, I never knew that H2O was started at Limerock, CT. Great history lesson. Even though I started going to H2O at OC about 5 years ago I consider myself an old timer and would love to get together in the tristate area for a reunion with you guys.

Nice Good to see you still have it. It's surprising how many people are still around from back then. A different world to be sure.

Yep Lou, had the Rallye front end. But I think at that time I got rid of the TSW's and was running the Borbet Type C's. I loved those Borbet's. If I could find a pair is great shape, I'd buy them and throw them on the Corrado.

Sorry for the picture of a picture quality. Still need to find a scanner :-) Anyways, heres a few pix from Lime Rock. I think this was the second year.
