Spent the night at home playing a mix of Team fortress 2 beta, Call of Duty 4 beta and the new Sega Rally demo. And i must say, one game is as awesome as the next, im in a tizzy of nerdy delight.I also bought a chatpad for my xbox 360, it rules.
I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I'm glad i can do it all again 2moro.

Get a farkin PS3. I was playing with GT5 the other day, some sort of preview. It was awesome! Had Ferrari 599 too.![]()

You only have PS3 so you can watch Dirty Dancing on BlueRay. I don't want to do that, so I'll take an XBOX 360![]()

Quote, originally posted by VDUB2C » what's team fortess 2 like? its insane, has a cartoon look to it and feels and plays more like quake era game with crazy strafing jumping and of corse rocket jumping which is cool since most fps's these days are too focused on "reality" which tends to make them kinda dull imho
Its really well polished (which it should be for almost 10 years in the making)... I havent had time to play all the classes yet or to be honest even figure out how some of the game modes work but it plays great.. tho to be honest i kinda prefer COD4's create-a-class system or chosing weapons, attachments and perks over tf2's fixed classes
But yeah the animation of the characters and the different abilities of each class are really neat.. i'm finding i prefer cod4 slightly atm tho.

just had a look at the COD4 website...
Looks urneal!
Grphics look amazing, and the create a class looks promising,...
I can't help thinking it's a bit of a ripoff of BF2 though..
is COD4 story based like the rest of the COD releases?hahaha TF2 sounds like some old skool style FPS ganking

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C...StoryA Russian nationalist by the name of Zakhaev is set on returning his homeland to the Soviet times. Zakhaev knows the United States would never allow this to happen, thus he funds a coup in the Middle East, organized by his ally al-Asad, to draw attention away from Russia. The two men and their seconds-in-command gain the nickname The Four Horsemen. However, the British and US governments have been monitoring Zakhaev's activities and discover his real intentions. The story is told from a perspective of a British 22nd SAS Regiment operative in Russia and American 1st Force Recon in the Middle East.
The game also features a flashback mission set 15 years ago in the Chernobyl Zone of Alienation, which features a new incarnation of Captain Price from 22nd SAS Regiment, the only character to appear in both of the first two games of the series. He needs to assassinate Zakhaev, but his mission fails because his Captain gets wounded and he has to get him out of the Zone of Alienation.[5] Whether this new Price will be confirmed to be a relative of the WWII era Price remains to be seen. It is also believed that the assassination attempt had left Zakhaev with only one arm.

relax mang lets not be all sony vs ms fanboy on this, i have a 2 PS2's and Xbox, a Wii and 360, fact is i have no bias and i'd buy a ps3 if it did anything i cant do already.. when the propper gt5 comes out maybe.. prologue will be ahyes.
I've not had a chance to look at the online content for the ps3 having only seen em set up in stores with some picturesque game im not interested in playing. Give me details on how all that works cause as it stands Xbox live/media centre is pretty awesome despite its cost, all it needs is divx support (comming next month allegedly) and a web browswer so i can click the links people send me in MSN (kinda annoyed about that
)

yes McRae Dirt is bad.the co driver is now an american

the car is terrible to control. Maybe it is my playing skills, but have had no real problems with the other driving games.
the Mcrae 04 was the best I think.

Yeah I wish it had it. Co-op FTW!!!!
Edit - I didn't think DiRT was that bad. It was hard going from Forza 2 and DiRT every couple of day's. It'd take me about 30mins to get used to the different styles again.
Stubby what is the Sega Rally demo like? Worth the download?
Between torrents, youtube and 360 demo's my 12GB a month goes quick

I agree to that one too.I like that you can get all the cars atraight away in part 2, rather than earn them in gtl. I don't have the time to do that.

hehe yeah stubs, not tryna make it a sony vs ms thing.....
All i was saying i have a few games that im really looking forward to on the ps3 (cause i have one and not a 360)...
Online content isnt great, ive got a few accounts, AUS, Japanese, and US, cause each store has different stuff....
Web browsing is meh, its there but i dont use it....As for GT5 Prologue i think it will be good enough to keep our appetites wet and not piiss us off too much until the full GT5 comes out...
36+ cars, 5 tracks, plus 16 player online races will be good plus its free.
Free online is a good part of ps3 though, Ive played all my games multiplayer online more than i have offline.....

Stubby what is the Sega Rally demo like? Worth the download?if you're expecting a "simulator" you might be disapointed
this has the same feel of the original sega rally so it has over exagerated aracde steering/handling. i havent actually hooked up my steering wheel yet (not sure if the demo supports it anyways) to try it out... im hoping that steering will feel similar to the arcades which is what'll decide if i buy it or not.
What is an interesting new addition to these type of games is this "surface memory" it has..
Tthe muddy corners have tracks in them the cars make and following the tracks improves your cornering and wherever you drive in that type of mud, it will leave tracks that will be there for the rest of the race/until driven over.. its pretty cool

After playing the demo for DiRT for a couple of days
Picked up DiRT today.
also playing the demo and sega rally demo..
they are really completly diff games,
Sega rally being arcadey (even the gfx), and DiRT being more simulator.
I can't believe ppl are saying DiRT is crap, the gfx are really nice and realistic, the car is very hard to get used to but i am sort of getting into it.. hooked up the steering wheel to it and it works nicely... If you want a rally sim, get DiRT, if you want an arcade racer where you can pretty much leave the accelerator on for the whole race, get sega rallySega Rally demo didnt work at all with the steering wheel.
I may buy Sega Rally 2nd hand a bit later just for the entertainment, and when i have friends over, as it looks like a FUN game to play.... not very challenging, but fun, a bit like motorstorm i guess....
EDIT: im really enjoying Tiger Woods 08 as well

I get my copy of Halo 3 tonight. 4 player coop awesome.DiRT is not a sim it's arcade. The car feels very floaty but the gfx are sensational which makes up for it.
